Shire Horse Barn is a barn conversion near Marsham, a few miles from Aylsham. The barn has a king-size double room on a mezzanine level overlooking the living area. Downstairs is a twin room, bathroom and an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburning stove. Outside is a private garden and off road parking. Shire Horse Barn is close to the amenities of Aylsham, and is well placed for touring the beautiful Broads, the coast and the lovely countryside of Norfolk. Picturesque rolling Fens, unspoilt beaches, and pretty waterways, East Anglia is a dream holiday destination. Norfolk offers beaches, saltmarshes and quaint villages whilst equally as charming are the coast and countryside of Suffolk.

Fuel, power and starter pack for stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair on request. Ample off road parking. Shared secure inner hallway for storage of bikes. Private enclosed garden with furniture and BBQ. Two well-behaved pets welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 3 miles. Note: Property accessed by communal entrance lobby or private access via garden. NOTE - There will only be 1 basket of logs provided in the winter months from October to March

Aylsham is a small market town in the heart of Norfolk. It is close to Norwich, the Norfolk coast and the Norfolk Broads.

"On our arrival have to admit our hearts dropped due to the over all look of the place as the garden and outer areas of the barn certainly was not as the picture above stated it looked very tired as the garden and drive was very unkept there where weeds and nettles everywhere and all around the back door and it just looked very uninviting to us and seeing an old dead flower pot with dead old wood of long dead plants and the external wood work that was peeling off and shabby did not look inviting at all ....first impressions and all that!. But on letting our selves in the interior of the barn was well kept and lovely all things needed where there clean and tidy and to be honest we sighed a sigh of relief! Jenny the owner was very pleasant and a helpful lady and easy to deal with, and sorted any issues we may have if needed. But the place would benefit from a handyman to do the garden through the summer and re vamp the external woodwork and maintain it as it looked like a few years since it had been attended to which would improve the impression on arrival as such a shame a really lovely building been spoilt through not doing so. The barn is in a lovely location and is ideal to visit the surrounded areas which we did and really enjoyed there's a second barn that is a joining to this one with its own garden and facilities but is private and it is quiet you do not hear the other guests but it uses this barns drive to park their cars in there is a communal entrance for both barns. However due to its rural location wifi /Internet and mobile network and service is very very bad so if you are in need of good service for personal or business use while away then you will struggle here, I had to drive to the next village to get a mobile signal to call my son in fact we all did and we had 3 different networks we all had the same difficulty it was very hit and miss overall it was no one's fault just the way it was. On the welcome sheets that where useful notes for places to eat and other info it was helpful but we did find the polite request to strip our beds if possible before departure and to clean the barn to help reduce costs a little cheeky as obviously you respect a person's property and take care of it and leave it clean and tidy but the whole point of a holiday is to pay to be looked after my wife does not come on holiday to strip beds and clean bathrooms and kitchens and hoover. But that aside we all enjoyed our stay and the area and local people where very friendly and the weather was warm and sunny always a bonus and we would certainly come again."
