The Rowan Yurt, HEPWORTH

"Isolated, no wifi and no TV. Just beautiful surroundings, luxurious interior and an outdoor hot tub. What more could anyone want? There is everything you will need in the kitchen, including things like a garlic press, icecube tray, collinder and cafetiere so no need to take anything with you - we took loads of stuff and didn't use anything. Bits like washing up liquid, tinfoil, tea towels are also there as well as torches. Tea, instant coffee, fresh fruit, a pint of milk, a loaf of fresh bread from Holmfirth bakery, homemade jam and some butter are also there so breakfast is sorted on your first morning. Decent toiletries in the bathroom, towels, robes, slippers and even some big woolly socks are all included. The inside is amazing. The photos don't do justice to the inside. The hot tub is great. It kept it's heat really well, even during the rain and wind (it wasn't a particularly balmy July). The locals include a lot of raucous squirrels, a cock pheasant, a few shy calves and a pig who likes nothing better than to be lulled to sleep by being scratched with a stick. The local pub is 5 minutes walk with decent beer, a good gin selection, good food and also does takeaway pizza. This was the furthest we got during our 6 day stay as the yurt was so perfect we didn't want to do anything but relax on our own."

"If it's something different your after ,then you won't go far wrong staying at the Rowan Yurt in Hepworth. Situated on Uppergate Farm in a secluded area the yurt has everything you need for a comfortable stay . The kitchen has microwave, toaster , gas hob and fridge and numerous kitchen utensils so everything's covered there and also a lovely large walk in shower , toilet etc. In the yurt itself you have a large double bed with bedside cabinet and dresser , wood burning stove ( logs supplied) , table and I pod dock for music, now there's no TV but I see this as a benefit as I say something different a chance to relax , unwind read a good book or do what we did and make best use of the yurts best feature, the Hot Tub !! You also get free use of the farms private swimming pool and with tokens can use the steam room and sauna , the local pub the Butchers Arms is about 2 mins away , there are numerous extras to this holiday like the use of toweling robes for the hot tub , slippers , fruit basket , milk I could go on and on , so don't hesitate this is an experience not to be missed and would make a fantastic surprise for a special occasion."

"This was booked as a complete surprise by my husband as a treat and some 'us' time. This was the best 4 days I have had. There is no WiFi or TV in the yurt but that made it even more relaxing. We had a completely secluded hot tub, a log burning stove with all the logs you need and exclusive access to an indoor heated swimming pool. The yurt is set away from the rest of the farm and has everything that you need. It has underfloor heating so it's not cold at all, even without the fire lit, a beautiful bathroom and a well stocked kitchen. The owners offered if we would like to help with the animals on any day and if we would like to go egg collecting, an nice opportunity to get close to the animals. They have a small shop on site that is well stocked with home grown produce, locally made jams and some emergency items (pain killers, hayfever tablets etc...). The surrounding areas have lots to offer so you can spend your days out and about and even though you feel like your in the middle of nowhere, it's not far from somewhere!! This was a truly relaxing break and I would recommend anyone to go!!"
