The Granary is a stone-built cottage annexe situated on a working livestock farm, one mile from the village of Spofforth and five miles from Harrogate. Set on the first floor, this cottage sleeps two people in a zip/link king-size double bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen with dining area and a sitting room with electric fire. Outside there's off road parking for two cars and a lawned garden with patio and furniture. The Granary is an ideal romantic base with many attractions within reach. From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Where else in Britain is it as satisfying to sit and do nothing as it is to explore the numerous pursuits on offer?

Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair. Off road parking for 2 cars. Lawned garden with patio with furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shops and pub 1 mile. Note: No children except babes-in-arms. Note: Property next to a main road, some noise maybe heard when outdoors. Note: Property reached via 14 external stairs.

The spa town of Harrogate offers gardens, open spaces, elegant architecture, broad tree-lined boulevards, shops and restaurants. Close by are Nidderdale and the Yorkshire Dales, plus within reach is the North York Moors, and there are many attractions close by, including Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Garden.

"What a fabulous place this is. You arrive at the Granary and wonder what to expect inside. You go up the stairs, open the door and think you are in the TARDIS. It is so spacious. Everything is on one floor but it is really well appointed and designed and feels considerably bigger. The bed was incredibly comfortable, I slept well every night. The lounge is light and the view is stunning, just stunning. The kitchen and utility room had all we needed for the week with dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer as well as all amenities. Spofforth itself is a mile walk away, either by road or through the fields which is a lovely stroll. It is a perfect location and place to stay for a couple wanting to explore the surrounding area. Harrogate, Wetherby, Knaresborough and Ripon are all within a short drive and all worth a visit."

"Stayed for a week early September. Such a sanctuary to return to after busy days. So close to such lovely towns and villages and set in beautiful countryside. Hard to believe that you are in the middle of a working farm as its so quiet and peaceful. Every detail has been thought of and many thanks to such a lovely host who is beautifully discreet but there if you need anything. Hope to stay again."
