Overview
This superb house near Lake Windermere and Newby Bridge sleeps ten people in four bedrooms. Four bedrooms: 1 x king-size double, 1 family room with king-size bed and 2 '3ft x 6ft' cabin beds, 1 x twin, 1 x bunks. Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Ground floor wet room with shower, basin and WC. Kitchen with dining area. Sitting room with sofa bed and wood burner.
Lakeside Cottage is a superb detached property close to the waters of Lake Windermere, a mile and a half from Newby Bridge. The cottage has two king-size double rooms, a twin room and a room with bunks. There is a family bathroom on the first floor, and a wet room on the ground floor, along with a kitchen with dining area, and a sitting room with sofa bed and woodburner. The property offers wonderful views from many windows, and spacious grounds with a private hot tub, patio and furniture, as well as ample off road parking and storage for bikes and boats. Lakeside Cottage makes a wonderful base for enjoying the attractions around Lake Windermere and beyond. Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

Oil central heating with woodburner. Electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, 2 x TVs (one with basic Sky, one with FreeSat), DVD, iPod, WiFi. Fuel, power and starter pack for woodburner inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair. Ample off road parking. Bike/boat storage. Lawned garden with hot tub, patio, furniture, fire pit/BBQ. Up to 8 membership passes for the Whitewater Cascades Leisure Club including swimming pool, gym etc. inc. in rent. Spa treatments at extra cost. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop 2 miles, pub/restaurant 2 mins walk. Note: Cottage is close to open water and streams, children to be supervised at all times. Note: Mobile phone reception can be limited.

A great way to see the wonderful local scenery is on the famous Furness Railway which runs between Haverthwaite and Newby Bridge, or take a look at the Aquarium of the Lakes which uses naturally themed habitats to bring the history of the Lakes vividly to life. Lake Windermere itself offers some magnificent views, as do the surrounding fells and the picturesque village of Hawkshead - a place that inspired such internationally well known authors as William Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter.

"Ive just stayed here with my husband, another couple and their 3 year old. The cottage was lovely and clean, extremely spacious and made an ideal base for our weeks holiday. The owner Ian was friendly and helpful and the cottage has loads of extras like an iron, hair dryers, open fire with starter pack, games, it's own swings, lots of parking and the large spacious hot tub. The location is great (only small down side is it's a bit remote and we could only find one takeaway that would deliver there). The leisure passes were an added bonus and the cottage is a stones throw from the boats over Bowness. Would recommend this place to anyone! "
"Amazing cottage, very large and great location. All you need is here and great walks right on your doorstep. Great views and large varied grounds, the hot tub is such an added bonus. You can book direct with the owner, highly recommended."
