"This was our third stay at Gromit cottage. Have to say it is still in my view the best of the six holiday lets we have used in Masham. Has everything you could ask for in order to have a great holiday. The adjacency to all amenities, pubs and restaurants is a big plus. Only downside is the garage which is just down from the back of the cottage which can be a little noisy, particularly at their start of business. This did not detract an any way to us having a great time. A bonus was the professional way the owners catered for our individual requirements which we greatly appreciate. Worth a visit. A real home from home in beautiful Masham."

"I agree with much that has been said before. It was spacious, clean and the beds were very comfortable. Excellent base for touring Dales and shopping trips to Ripon and Harrogate. I have to disagree with the "quiet back lane" comments. On each week day morning the adjacent garage felt the need to rev its removal truck to facilitate the arrival of many cars some of which were later found in the cottage parking space. Please see attached picture of view out of lounge window one morning. The kitchen could of been a bit better equiped. No mop (muddy dog) and a kettle that stayed closed would have been nice. Other utensils very basic and tired. Only real grip with furnishings was dining table and chairs provided. They could at best be described as unstable and rickety. These minor issues aside we did enjoy our stay and short cut to Co-Op was invaluable. Good wi-fi for those that need it. Try the Bruce Arms for pleasant evening but did seem to run out of things alot. Then it was February. Would recommend Grommit Cottage"

"Absolutely perfect for our 5-night stay. We, that is me, wife, son and dog, wanted a two bedroom hideaway close to the centre of Masham, and convenient for shooting off for days-out. Oh, and pet friendly, of course. Well, Gromit Cottage met all these criteria and more. The owner of the cottage lives in the adjoining property (Wallace Cottage!), so he is on hand should you need anything. OK, we found it a bit hard to find at first, despite comprehensive directions...maybe the best bet is to park up in the Market Square (honesty box parking), and find the place on foot, first. It is literally two minutes' walk from the Square, but you do have to navigate some narrow ginnels! Parking at the property is outside, but there is more than adequate room for two vehicles, and it is 'Private Parking'. All in all, it does exactly what it says on the tin, and more....and please read my review of the nearby 'Bruce Arms' for what we believed to be the best pub/eaterie."

"This is the 5th rental we have used in Masham. It rates very highly when compared to the others. We particularly like the location which is ideal for us as all pubs, shops, breweries are easily accessed from the doorstep. The cottage is very comfortable and has all you need for a great stay. We will definitely return next year."
