The pretty Gloucestershire village of Coaley lies in beautiful countryside, close to the Cotswold towns of Stroud, Dursley and Nailsworth. Boasting an 18th century village pub and community shop, the village offers many wonderful walking opportunities, including the Cotswold Way. It is overlooked by the Frocester Hill Nature Reserve, a National Trust wood and Coaley Peak, a twelve acre wild flower meadow and picnic site. Offering far-reaching views over the Severn Vale and Forest of Dean it is also the sight of the excavated Neolithic burial site, Nympsfield Long Barrow.
