"Wonderful, tranquil cottage with every thing you need to make your stay a relaxing holliday. Ellie-Anne cottage was clean, comfortable and a wonderful place to escape to. The locals are friendly and warm. The beach is stunning and safe for small children to explore rock pools, build sand castles and run free."

"If you enjoy getting away from it all this is the place for you. Gardenstown town is very peaceful locals friendly. The cottage was spotless and well presented, we had breakfast every morning on the raised seating area with a seaview we had everything needed was nice to come back to after a day out and about. The owner was very helpful and even posted my husbands hoody back to our home after he left it behind the bedroom door. The weather was fantastic the sea like a pond, great for paddleboarding and kayaking if you've a mind. Nice walks loads of wildlife lucky to see a pod of dolphins. The folk in the Spar were lovely and the sausage rolls yummy. Loved our stay at Ellie Ann thanks"

"Just come back from a lovely week at Ellie Ann cottage, the cottage is lovely and clean with a window looking out to the sea. The place is lovely, the dog loved the walks around the area and the pub was very friendly (take money for the pub cash only) we had a lovely week even the teenage boys enjoyed themselves ! We also drove over to Aviemore where the boys went skiing. Would definitely return."

"We found the cottage to be clean, comfortable, well equipped and as described by the owners. It's very close to the beach and set back and elevated behind the seafront cottages with a sea view from one of the lounge windows and a bedroom window. We enjoyed walks on the large beach and the beautiful coastal headland. The beach and rocks were great for bird life - curlew, dunlin, redshank, greenshank, turnstone, oystercatchers, etc and there's a colony of gannets at nearby Troup Head (walkable although we didn't). The Garden Arms pub do excellent bar meals and the local Seaman's Mission offer teas, coffees and cakes in the afternoon and evenings. We met lots of people both local and visitors and everyone was very friendly. We intend to go back to Gardenstown and would have no hesitation booking Ellie-Ann if available."

"Just back from a very relaxing week long holiday in Gardenstown. The natural beauty of the area is stunning with lots to do for kids. Accommodation was good and big enough for a family of 4. We were spoiled with the weather, bright sunshine every day and long walks. This is our first time staying in this area and would go back, try it you won't be disappointed."

"Warm cozy cottage in a stunning location, ideal for total relaxation. Take enough supplies so there's no need to use the car just stroll along the beach at low tide which ever way you choose. For the active ones take your bike or canoe but really why bother? Just chill x"

"My choice was made online and based on description only. It lived up to expectations and more. Unusual and delightful seafront location (just behind sea facing cottage, but with sea view from small lounge and bedroom windows). Small gravel area with bench up behind the cottage and concealed washing line. Parking away from cottage, but manageable. Beach amazing and clean. Walks aplenty. Facilities good both in the cottage and in the village. Excellent restaurant and tea/craft room in harbour area open Thursday to Sunday. Locals and their dogs most friendly. If you like to get away from it all and have peace and quiet, this is it!"

"A lovely cottage in a beautiful part of Scotland. The cottage had everything you can ask for, it was very well equipped and the attention to detail was very good. The town the cottage was in was very friendly and the local people seemed very nice, we had a lovely experience from the lady in the Tourist Information Centre in Fraserburgh, very helpful indeed. The cottage description was not as accurate as we would have liked, for example the garden as described was a bench on some gravel, it wasn't very private at all. The bathroom had a very small bath with no handrails which for anyone with mobility issues would have made access very difficult. Parking was mentioned on the description as being ample but this is really not the case. Road access to the property is via the harbour wall which is quite narrow and parking here didn't really feel safe especially at high tide. In high season we feel the parking could be a major issue. Also the neighbours next door were a little noisy on occasions, children running around the side of the property and we did feel that they were intruding on our peace and quiet which is what made us choose this cottage over others. We enjoyed our stay in the cottage and we did leave feeling rested and refreshed but a few things do need to be addressed to make this cottage a much better holiday retreat."

"Elie anne Cottage is a comfortable, well appointed cottage with the beach literally a stones throw from the front door. We were there during a cold October week and it was really cosy. This part of Gardenstown (called "Seatown")is such a lovely spot. There is a tidal beach accessible by steps just yards from the front door and this links to a bigger beach accessible at all tides a few hundred yards further along. There is a lovely little pub with real ale and free wifi just a few minutes around the corner and great walks all around. This part of the aberdeenshire coast is a hidden gem with lots of great days out. We'll definitely be back. The drive along the sea front to the car park at the end is a white knuckle ride for the uninitiated, especially at high tide with the waves splashing up!"

"Great little cottage, very private considering all the cottages are on top of one another, dont even try to park near it, just park at harbour saves on a lot of stress and only a two minute walk. It was spotlessly clean, everything you could want in kitchen and lots of towels for bathroom only slight moan that the shower was either burning or freezing, very hard to work and you cant stand under it you have to sit in the half bath with shower above you."

"We enjoyed our stay at Ellie ann cottage. The setting was lovely, right next to the beach. Cottage was nice and clean when we arrived. Heating system was fine. We had a bit of bother with the hot water, however it was fixed at the beginning of the week. Kitchen was fine, not much room in the shower which is over the bath. No mobile phone signal until you get up to the top of the hill. Lovely walks around the area, we drove over to Cullen and other holiday villages nearby, again lovely walks. You need a car as it is fairly steep down to the beach front. The leaflets in the cottage about local amenties etc were out of date. 2 shops in the village, went up to the hotel for a meal, wasnt very good. Teas on the pier provided by the Fishermans Mission were lovely. Parking was OK, roads very narrow."
