"We enjoyed this fantastic apartment as a base to visit local sights. Enjoyed it so much we have booked again. "

"We booked this at the last minute when our other plans fell through, and we think we hit gold here. It is a very clean, spacious and well appointed modern open plan one bedroom apartment. It has a wood burning stove that was very easy to use, and a compact but fully equipped kitchen. The bed is one of those twin zipped beds which meant if felt massive, and was very comfortable with a firm mattress. The only slight issue may be the metal stairs you have to climb to the front door (as the home is built over a garage) which may not be suitable for some. It is positioned in a rural location with a pub within walking distance (sadly not a restaurant, but sells real ale and has live music on some evenings) and it is ideally placed for visits to Colwyn Bay, Llandudno, Chester, and Liverpool (amongst other places). Would recommend."

"We've stayed at Tyn-Y-Mynydd Bach several times over the last few years as it is so convenient when visiting family who live nearby. The other reason we keep returning is that this really is a great apartment! It has everything a couple would want for an enjoyable and relaxing break. The apartment is well very furnished and being on the first floor in a detached building, it is also very private with great views out over the fields. It's very well insulated which is handy when visiting North Wales - although the central heating and wood burner are still much appreciated! My one suggestion - when you visit make sure you walk up the lane to the Blue Bell Inn a few minutes walk away. It does't serve food but is a great community pub & post office - they even organise walks and sometimes you'll find live music in the bar. The night we visited, the landlords were being awarded with a well deserved CAMRA regional award for the best pub in 2015!"

"After much deliberation and trawling of the internet we found this accommodation as it looked perfect for myself and my wife and our 18 month old daughter. On arrival we were not disappointed. The owners had put out a bottle of wine and chocolates for our arrival. The accommodation is spotlessly clean and very modern. Everything needed is provided. Although you have to climb some steps to the front door its all very safe and worked perfectly with our daughter. We had a great week away and will return in the future. Very impressed !!"

"Myself and my husband stayed at Tyn-y-Mynydd Bach in april, 2013 for 1 week. The apartment was immaculate, cosy and comfortable, loved the woodburner and the bed gave us an excellent nights sleep after some busy days out - a "real treasure" set in an idyllic setting. The owners were very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to our friends and family and will more than likely come back to stay on another ocassion."

"This is such a perfect place to stay. I have worked up in nearby Mold a few times, and choose always to stay here if it is available. The property is warm, bright, beautifully clean and very well equipped, with dishwasher, washing machine tumble dryer and log burning stove. Having also stayed here in the winter months, i can safely say that it is brilliantly designed to stay warm. The Log burner and eco-heating button are all you need for a cosy romantic night in. The bed is superb - very large and comfortable. Combined with the blackout blinds, it makes for a brilliant night's sleep. Also, it is an added bonus that the sofa is also a very comfortable sofa-bed if you need it.The family who run the cottage are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble. There are always plenty of logs for the fire! The local pub (The Blue Bell Inn) is 2 minutes walk away and a real find, with live music 2 nights a week and great Ales. All in all, this is a great holiday getaway in a lovely part of North Wales. Great for people wanting a peaceful break with lots of lovely walks on your doorstep."

"We regularly stay in this part of North Wales to visit family, but have struggled to find high quality and well equipped accommodation at a fair price. But having just spent a weekend at Tyn-Y-Mynydd Bach, we were really impressed!! Its a recently built light and airy flat above a garage block; an eco-friendly design with high levels of insulation and low energy lighting, with excellent views across open fields. An ideal base for a romantic weekend away, or as a base for exploring the local area on foot. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and there's a wood burning stove in the living room to supplement the LPG central heating system. You don't get a welcome hamper and its quite a distance from local shops, so remember to bring provisions with you. The only slight problem was when the LPG gas cylinder ran out the night before we left and they had no spare, so no heating / hot water. The owners (a very friendly family) were extremely apologetic and offered us heaters and a bottle of wine to compensate. Fortunately, with the fantastic wood burning stove combined with electric shower in the morning, we were just fine. And after that experience, I've no doubt they'll have spare LPG cylinders available in the future. Overall, a really enjoyable weekend in luxurious accommodation and we would definitely stay there again!!"
