Colwyn Bay offers the best of the North Wales countryside and coastline. As a base from which to explore all that the region has to offer, this seaside town is an attraction in itself but is also within easy access of many of North Wales' hidden gems such as the Mountain Zoo, the prestigious Theatr Clwyd and a number of stunning National Trust properties. The town itself is well-served by great shopping facilities and, for those who like a bit of outdoor adventure, there are ample opportunities for fishing, sailing and jet-skiing. Quiet location, but only 5 minutes drive from shop, playground, sandy beach and A55. Llandudno, Conwy, Eirias Park and Welsh Mountain Zoo within 20 minutes drive. Kindly met by the owner. "The owner went out of his way to meet us at an easy meeting point and show us local pub, restaurant etc. It's a 4 bedroom house ideal for 2 families sharing - 2 double rooms and 2 twin rooms - 8 beds altogether. Ensuite shower to one bedroom and family bathroom upstair plus toilet downstair. It's the minimum you need for 8 to be honest but it's quite adequate. Lovely roomy kitchen and sitting room. Large dining table in the dining room plus another good size table in the kitchen. Large smart TV in lounge and 3 other TV's in rooms down stairs. Good games room with bar-football - a hit with the kids. You have all the machines you need - Washing machine, Dryer, Dishwasher etc. But best of all is the location, location, location. Just beautiful. All the rooms have huge windows to see out on to a vale of green patchwork grazing fields mainly full of - you guessed it - sheep ! No neighbours - hardly any traffic down the road. Connectivity - some mobile networks poor but Wi-fi is provided. We had a brilliant 2 weeks here and although you feel for the first couple of times it is too far in the sticks, actually you are only 5 minutes from the motorway of North Wales the Nth Wales Expressway and from there you can be to most of the attractions within 45 minutes max."

"We stayed here with our extended family with ages ranging from 29 years to 86 years and all found it to be very comfortable. The facilities and layout of the house allowed us time together but also the ability to "get away" when needed. The location is ideal to explore the delights of Snowdonia. We did a range of activities which were suitable for the weather conditions that we had during our weeks stay. We particularly enjoyed the barge cruise from Llangollen and the narrow gauge railway from Portmadoc. The cable cars in Llandudno are also worth a visit. We would like to say a special thank you to Rae for meeting and guiding us to the property. It was much appreciated. It also helped to have somebody at the house to explain how to operate the various appliances. Thank you Rae."

"My group of friends chose to spend New Year at Llecha - it offered a remote location but not too far from civilisation in case we forgot something! There was plenty of space for everyone, both sleeping and relaxing, and with a bit of jigging around we could all sit at the same table. We all had a wonderful time and look forward to planning our next visit."

"What a great find Llecha was. As a family of 8 wanting to rent somewhere in North Wales, we decided to rent Llecha. It ended up being a masterstroke. It was close enough to tourist spots but far away to enjoy unspoilt views of the welsh landscape with only sheep for neighbours. The cottage upon first glance didn't seem to be that big, but as you entered it was extremely spacious with 4 good sized bedrooms, a big kitchen (well stocked with utensils and crockery), 2 sitting rooms with stunning views, and a games room with a fantastic table football game. Outside was lots of space for the kids to play in and parking for numerous cars. The owner was really helpful, offering to meet us nearby to guide us through the local journey to Llecha. Really enjoyable place to stay, clean and tidy with colwyn bay, Conwy, etc within 15 miles. Certainly recommended to anyone with a large group (upto 8)."

"We have stayed as a family three times now at Llecha and its always been lovely. We have six adults and two young children and it is perfect for us in location, size, decor, equiptment and price. We love the privacy and peace without worrying that the noisy boys will disturb neighbours too! Ray, the owner is a smashing chap and makes you feel very welcome, the first time we came he met us and guided us in to the property. There is everything there to make your stay relaxed and easy, a ahome from home. See you next year Ray!"

"Owners were very helpful and friendly. Very quite rural location, with no immediate neighbouring houses. House clean, comfortable, well equipped and spacious. Gardens quite large and good space for kids to play. Also plenty of car parking space. Rural views from both house and garden are superb. Despite seclude location of the property, Colwyn Bay is only a few minutes drive away and the NE edge of the Snowdonia National Park is about 15 minutes drive"

"Loved this house. Settled in very quickly. Clean and spacious home, beautiful surroundings. Very well equipped and comfortable. Really pleased with all aspects of booking. The homeowner, Rae, emailed us one week before our check in to suggest meeting us just off the main road to lead us through the narrow (quiet) country roads. Questions regarding the property were answered quickly and concisely, and all details we needed were provided. On arrival we were delighted to find everything & more that we could want for our stay. Kitchen was very well equipped, and thoughtful extras provided throughout the house to enhance our stay. Stairgates, travel cots, toys, games, books, CD's & DVDs, hairdryers, towels, linen & even fairylights on the balcony! Leaflets for local attractions, and even a lovely photobook documenting the history of the cottage. A wonderful base to explore from. Many many local attractions/towns/sights. We visited national trust properties, castles, infamous villages, and many of the 'local' mountains, railways & museums. We would gladly return here as there were so many other attractions that we just didn't have time to see in one week. The location itself is amazing: peace and quiet, and wonderful views and countryside. The furniture is modern and comfortable, we all slept very well! Masses of space for 4 adults and 3 children. Rae, the homeowner is very accessible and helpful. He encourages feedback and portrayed a genuine keen interest in making our stay as close to perfect as possible. This was a wonderful holiday. We could not have wished for anything more on our stay. Totally in-keeping with this holiday home owners helpful attitude, Rae even posted a book and certificate that my daughter had left behind. 100% over and above what we would expect. Would highly recommend this holiday to families."

"The house offers beautiful views from all rooms to the valley (meadows with lots of sheeps). It seems is a little bit hidden, but we found out that's normal in Wales. It has lots of space, a nice big garden and is very comfortabile."

"We enjoyed our stay at Llecha, its such a lovely cottage , lots of room to spread around, with 6 adults and 2 children, plus visitors we still didn`t feel over crowded. There was everything to make use of, its very well equipped. The views from the lounge are lovely, and we saw rabbits and a squirrel in the garden, plus lots of birds. As we didn`t have a Sat Nav, Rae , the owner met us off the A55 and we followed him to the cottage which was very helpful. There are so many lovely places to visit, our favourite being Llandudno, theres so much to see and do there, the tram up the Gt. Orme, is a must."

"llecha was a wonderful cottage for a large family group. It is excellently furnished and equipped and is in a beautiful scenic and quiet location. Access to many north Wales attractions is easy and it is an ideal base to explore that region. The cottage itself was very clean and well kept with an enormous amout of space, with two living rooms and a large well equiped kitchen, we took 6 adults and two small children and had no problems at all. the garden is nice too even has some fairly tame visiting pheasants! The owner, a very nice gentleman, went to great lengths to ensure we had all we needed and even called on our last day to see if we had enjoyed our stay. All in all we highly recommend Llecha as a holiday cottage and will certainly return there."
