Richmond has plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as markets, the castle and riverside walks, making Lavendar Cottage an ideal family base. "This was our second visit to Lavender Cottage. Accommodation excellent. Extremely comfortable and very well equipped. The location is perfect as it is only a 10 minute stroll into Richmond which is a totally dog friendly village. We took our westie on holiday with us and he was welcomed in many pubs and other places. The cottage was very warm which was much appreciated as it was very cold in January. Pleased to find that we now have wi fi access. I would totally recommend this cottage and hope to return again."
"Cottage was lovely, clean and well equiped, weather was even good and lots to locally, the only fault was the garden which was at the front and definately not private which was a disappointment. We always book our cottages for the garden as we have no outside space at home so felt slicghtly let down."
"Just returned from a lovely, relaxing stay at Lavender Cottage, Reeth Road, Richmond. From the moment we arrived we knew we were going to enjoy our stay. The cottage is part of a four cottage renovation and has a lovely courtyard which is interlinked with the other cottages, this came in handy on the two scorching days we had as we sat with a glass of wine. Lavender Cottage was a good choice as it had its own secure, gated car parking adjacent to the cottage. The other cottages had parking about 100yds round the corner so would have been a bit of a trek with our cases and bags as we never travel lightly! The cottage itself is clean, bright, airy and lovely and cosy. It had everything we needed and although there is no wi fi it was nice to just switch off and relax. The beds were comfy and the only thing I would suggest would be lined curtains in the bedrooms as our bedroom flooded with light from around 4am. The big bonus about these cottages is that they are so close to the centre of Richmond, it was about 10mins stroll into the centre which meant the car rarely left its parking space. We took our little dog Amber with us and she enjoyed herself immensley. Richmond is so dog orientated that most pubs etc allow dogs in and even bring them water and treats! I can recommend Amontola Indian restaurant as the food is amazing and the food is great from Figaro pizzeria."
