"The stone cottage is a delightful place to stay. The owners Pat & Theresa give you a warm welcome and live close by should you need anything. The cottage is well equipped and is in a stunning location. It has storage heating on a timer so is warm and cosy place to return to after a busy day sight seeing. I would recommend this as a great place to stay to explore the magnificent Beara Peninsula "

"excellent location and very helpful owner . clean and modern inside, but lacked a few kitchen utensils for us as we cooked most evenings. fantastic location for the ring of beara but lots of windy roads means it takes longer than you think, to get anywhere, but excellent for walking."

"Cahirkeen is a lovely cottage on the Beara peninsula with gorgeous views over coulough bay to the ring of kerry. There are beautiful walks, runs, cycles to Allihies,Eyries or round the Ardgroom peninsula. We'd recommend the fishmongers at Castletownbere for some gorgeous fish (and great tips for novices!). Pat and his family live on the farm nextdoor and could not be more helpful both in terms of things to do, history of the area, and even providing a gift of fresh free range eggs for brekkie. We'll definitely be back there again."
