"We (me, my husband and 3 yr old daughter) have just come home from a wonderful week in Little Shortwood. It was a wonderful and relaxing break. The cottage had everything we needed, it was home from home. The owners are just the most loveliest people you could ever meet. There is a pub a few minutes walk, which has lovely food and a warm welcome. Would definitely stay at the cottage again and can't recommend it enough "

"the owners who live next door were very friendly and welcoming & cottage was lovely and clean. Loved the decked balcony overlooking the garden - it felt like being in a treehouse! We were lucky with the weather so could spend lots of time out there eating and drinking wine. Location was very quiet but has a nice pub with good food and there are plenty of places to visit if you have a car. We hope to visit again one day."

"A great location, off the beaton track but within easey reach of major road links. Not the place for people who would like to sit in, or with children who would want to play in a garden, as it overlooks a sharp declining valley, but there is a nice sundeck to sit on, and dine on if you wish, while taking in the views. The owners could not have been more helpfull or welcoming. I would recomend this to all people who want to just get away from it all."

"excellent if you wanted a quiet rural location and were prepared to get the car out, nothing too much trouble for the owners, great feature was the decking/balcony outside the door on the valley edge , saw squirrels, buzzards and deer, great views, pub in the village , and amenities nearby , but car essential, probably would not take small children, due to the very steep valley sides"

"The cottage is lovely, simply and tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Spacious enough for for two couples or for a family (not good for babies and toddlers however!). We would love to come again."
