"We had a lovely 4 days at Millbrook Barn earlier this year. It's off the beaten track and not easy to find, so double check your directions, but it's more than worth the effort to get there. It's not far from Abergavenny, which is a lovely town, and that means it's not far from attractions like castles, national parks or Cardiff if you want to visit the city. The cottage itself is spacious, well appointed with comfortable furniture. Also, one main bedroom is separate from the others, so you can have kids or guests at the other end of the house for some privacy. It's a great base location for seeing this region of south Wales."

"We stayed at Millbrook barn with our daughter and son in law and our grandchildren. It was ideal for a multi generation holiday. Spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped. It was great having the playroom with toys to keep the grandchildren amused and there was plenty of room outside for playing ball games safely. The little ones loved having Jimmy the lamb come to play. The barn is situated in a peaceful location but within easy drive of Abergavenny. We enjoyed trips to Greenmeadow Farm, Raglan Castle, Monmouth and The Kymin."

"Millbrook Farm is fantastic accomodation located down a country lane around the Llanddewi Rhyddech Region of Wales and is especially great for families. It has a fantastic setting on a rural property that is only 12 minutes from Abergavenny by car. The accomodation is fantastically clean, and very well appointed with great outdoor and indoor areas for kids and adults alike. I would highly recommend this facility for your next trip. "

"This property was a lovely place to stay for a week near the Brecon Beacons. Plenty of space, yet homely with lots of rooms and well thought out touches e.g. piano, pool table, board games, other toys and plenty of books that kept the kids and adults entertained plus a well equipped kitchen. It is a barn so you will need to be mindful of the sloped ceilings and low beams in each room upstairs but this adds to its character. In addition to the lovely accommodation, there is a dedicated, flat, mini football pitch with balls and badminton racquets ready to use, beautiful views with sheep in the nearby fields, a friendly shire horse and sheepdog plus very helpful and lovely owners! Great rural location - you will need wellies, unless you are lucky enough to have no rain, as the barn is in a working farm at the bottom of a long farm track but not too far from plenty of places to visit. We enjoyed a muddy walk round the local area, a day at Cardiff Bay (Techniquest is great for kids of all ages), the Big Pit, LC waterpark in Swansea, boat hire along the canal at Brecon, a walk from the canal at Talybont-on-Usk to the reservoir and then round the nearby waterfalls. Many thanks to the owners (plus their grandson and his girlfriend) for taking the time and effort to make it such an enjoyable time for us all. Book it now!"

"8 of us had the pleasure of a week at mill brook barn, when it came to the end of our stay I could of cried. I loved the barn and it's surroundings. We sat outside most mornings and watched the farm animals grazing. The barn was spotless and In such a wonderful location. You would definitely need a car to stay here but, if you don't mind paying for taxis then it would really be up to you. When we arrived at the barn we had fresh eggs and fruit bread awaiting us. The barn had such a lovely feel to it, I would recommend it 100% if you're looking for a countryside p/rural kind of holiday away from it all."

"In the narrow country lanes, not 10 minutes drive from Abergavenny, lies a hidden treasure. Millbrook Barn has been beautifully renovated and modernised with a large living room and kitchen (equipped with everything one would need) and 4 well proportioned bedrooms. We had 7 people stay, including one 8 year old and a 4 year old. There was space a plenty for all and the grounds were perfect for the children to run around safely and yet still experience the adventure of exploring a working farm. What made this so special though were the owners Brenda and Peter, a lovely couple who went out of their way to make sure my family and I were made to feel very welcome. Little touches such as the fresh eggs and the homemade cake made you feel at home and their warmness towards my son Jack and his cousin letting them feed the ducks and see the sheep being sheared was amazing. I would highly recommend Millbrook Barn to any family wanting quality time together. I know my family and I will be back as soon as we can."

"I rarely write reviews, but felt compelled to come and give Millbrook Barn the thumbs up as we enjoyed it so much. The barn was spotlessly clean and very welcoming with plenty of space including a lovely lounge area, ample kitchen and games room. If you want rural, this is it... complete quite with beautiful surroundings - and a 10 minute drive will take you to some amazing walking locations. There were lovely welcoming touches. A lovely cake on arrival, fresh eggs and one of the owners popping along to check we were okay. But that was pretty much the single time we saw anyone, so privacy and quietness are ensured. I can't say anything negative. The only warning I'd say is that two of the bedrooms are en-suite, and the other two have a bath but not a shower available to them. But we just shared our showers so there really was no issue. All in all, highly recommended - and after this hotels are just going to seem very mundane."

"This was our third visit to Millbrook Barn - which really says it all! The barn itself has everything you could possibly need for a wonderful family holiday - loads of space, fantastic kitchen in which we fed 12 people with ease and a great games room, complete with billiard table and piano. Brenda and Peter are wonderful hosts and everything is taken care of, including fresh flowers, home baking and a supply of fresh eggs. The icing on the cake for our granddaughters was the presence of 4 tiny kittens just across from the barn. Can't recommend it highly enough"

"A property that is really "off the beaten track" and " out of the ordinary". The barn conversion has been skilfully carried out to a high standard and is very well equipped and thought out. The games games room with small pool tale , Wii and board games delighted our three grandsons. They also loved the one-ton shire horse that lives on the adjoining farm! This is an ideal property for family get-togethers with out-door eating spaces and lovely views. The grandchildren are already asking to go back."

"Eight of us, five adults and three children, loved the week we spent in Millbrook Barn. Being Half Term, it rained almost non-stop, so we really appreciated everything the barn had to offer, and staying in such a luxurious place took the edge off our disappointment over the weather. The kids loved the farm cats, and the many amusements on offer in the Games Room. The adults enjoyed the comfort, the well equipped kitchen and the isolation, miles away from the nearest town. The owners have thought of everything, plus a little bit more. Millbrook Barn is well off the beaten track, and not easy to find first time round, but it's the perfect venue for a family break. If you stay there, make sure you visit the waterfalls above Talybont- quite beautiful! Also recommended is the pony trekking centre at Llanthony: www.llanthonyriding.co.uk"

"If you want somewhere that is away from ia all, this is the place. other than the owners cottage the only neighbours you have are horses and sheep. Yet it is only 10 mins away from abergavanney - which is a lovely local town."

"Couldn't have been better - we were two families of 4 with kids from 9 to 14. Everyone loved the cottage. Big enough that we all had space (kids in the "games room" most of the time) but not so big that you felt you were knocking around in a warehouse. All mod-cons, comfortable - could not fault it. Views lovely, Abergavenny 5 minutes away, walks from the doorstep or down the road - easy access to M4 etc. Owners an absolute delight - friendly, welcoming, helpful but not in the slightest intrusive. One caveat for families with small children is that one of the two master bedrooms is up a different set of stairs from the other three bedrooms, fine for us but maybe not if you have younger children..."

"This was a fantastic property, very well laid out and finished to an exceptionally high standard. So well equipped it was like home from home, almost every detail had been covered and the owners who live next door couldn't have been more helpful, friendly and the standard of the cleanliness and facilities illustrate how much pride they take in their property. The location is ideal for exploring the wider area, the property is quite hard to find the first time, it's very tucked away, but once you know where it is, it's really easy to get out and about. The garden and surrounding land are perfect for kids, we were two sisters and our partners and five kids between us ranging in age between 11 and 1 and they all throughly enjoyed being in and around the house, riding bikes, talking to the horses and sheep, playing football, cricket etc and inside, the games room and TV and DVD facilities kept them all out of mischief! And that's when we weren't out for the day, Raglan Castle, Cantref Farm and Hay On Wye were all highlights and we did geocaching on the Brecon Beacons and in abergavenny. Great holiday destination, perfect property, will definitely choose it again in the future."
