"Just returned from our second stay here. We were not disappointed. If you want to expierience rural rustic Ireland, then this is the place for you. A beautiful stone built cottage which used to be the village shop / post office. A huge family farmhouse kitchen with roaring peat fire, comfortable living room with another roaring peat fire, three double bedrooms, one with great views over the bay, this has to be one of the best cottages we have stayed in. On arrival you will receive a warm traditional Irish welcome from Michael and Septa. Freshly baked scones and a steaming pot of tea or coffee, bottle of wine and chocolates. Even the beds had hot water bottles put in them. Michael will leave enough turf to burn for the week. It is equiped with everything you could possibly need for the week, from BBQ coal (if you get the weather) to walking poles. There are loads of books and guides on the local and surrounding area which itself, although rural is not that far from Galway or smaller local villages. Rory`s shop at the bottom of the lane has everything you will need plus a well stocked off license. A pub 10 minutes walk with another less than 2 miles away. Be sure to go to Rosaveel (5 miles away) and catch the ferry to the Aran Islands (make sure you book ahead as they get busy over the summer) Inisheer is the smallest and most beatiful of the 3, again with several pubs and restaurants. Highly recommended. If you fancy a bit of deep sea fishing then there are several charter boats that usually go out 5-6 days a week, weather permitting. As the location is right of the edge of the wild Atlantic, dont expect tropical weather, although we did have it last year. I cant recommend this place highy enough and Michael and Septa will go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. With friends from England staying with us, we had a great time. looking forward to next year again"

"We couldn't be more thrilled with our choice of the Prague House for our family vacation. We were greeted upon arrival by the owners, who were just the sweetest and friendliest couple ever. They had brought us huge fresh scones from the bakery, lit a fire, set the table, and even had some milk and eggs to start us off. The house has everything you need such as towels, linens, dishes, utensils, pots/pans, seasonings, WIFI, TVs, literally everything! There were six of us and there were enough towels for all. There are two beautiful fireplaces which were so comfy! The surrounding area is gorgeous with a water view and amazing Irish scenery. It is also conveniently located in walking distance from a market (that also has everything you need), walking distance from the funnest pub (Plunkett) with live music & a gas station right next door, about 10 minutes driving from a post office, 20 minutes from a cute little art town called Spiddal, and 1 hour from the city of Galway. The house was so comfortable and cozy and felt like our own, and the town of Lettermore is so friendly and amazing. We absolutely loved our stay here. THESE PICTURES DONT DO IT JUSTICE - the house is much larger and even more beautiful in person!"

"Booked this house for extended family including grandchildren. House is located in a very rural, beautiful part of Irish speaking area ( also English). The owners Michael & Cepta meet us on arrival with table laid for tea and fresh scones, what a start. The house was fantastic, spotless, with loads of room and all the facilities you will need. The local shop is 300 yards down road and the owner Rory treats you like one of his family giving you a map of area and places of interest. His fresh baked wheaten and inhouse Pizzas are so tasty and reasonably priced. Approx. 10 mins drive from house is one of the most pleasant and challenging 9 hole golf courses you will ever play and only 15Euro. The club house has a thatched roof. Galway City is less than a hour south and all to the north is the Connemara region, it is breathtaking for scenery and beaches. Go to Dogs Bay beach near Roundstone. The area around the house is worth exploring and the house inside and out is brilliant. If the sun shines just to sit in the patio area with a book and drink will calm you to the bones. Forget about all the buzz and hassle of foreign hot places and recharge your batteries in this magical part of Ireland. Money can't buy what you get from this place, house and people. Book and enjoy.."

"Prague House is an absolutely stunning cottage. It is located in Lettermore which is quite isolated, although there is a shop at the end of the road. The cottage has a welcoming feel to it, beautifully renovated with views over the bay. There are two en suites and a bathroom so perfect for friends and families. The owners are very welcoming with hot scones and coffee on arrival. The kitchen/diner is fantastic giving a real homely feel to the property. Would definitely recommend."

"This a fantastic property, we loved it. We were also very lucky to have lots of sunny days which always puts a good slant on anywhere one stays. However, this house was extremely well supplied with everything and is very comfortable."

"A wonderful welcome and stay. There was nothing that was too much trouble for the owners. The cottage is immaculate and fitted to the highest standard having a vista at the rear across the bay and beyond to the hills of Clare on a clear day and out across to the Aran Islands. To the front is Lettermore hill for which the owners provide instructions on how to access the top, it requires a bit of effort but most should be able to do it in half an hour, panoramic views of the twelve Bens and Aran Islands and clear enough on the day we went up that we could see the Cliffs of Moher in the far distance across Galway Bay. It is a great base situated ideally to get out and explore with all of the main attractions within an hours drive and many more closer still. The lighting along with the tides changing throughout the day provide constantly changing surroundings which can be enjoyed from the sun room. Highly recommended!"

"This cottage was beautifully presented and exceptionally well-equipped. The welcome from the owners was first-rate and we felt very at home here. Lettermore is in beautiful Connemara and the only thing we found disappointing was the distance we needed to cover to find eating places and places of interest - this should have been clearer from the cottage brochure."

Prague House

"We stayed at the Prague House in early July and were impressed both by the accommodations and the wonderful owners who met us (though we were two hours late!) with fresh scones and a warm Irish welcome. As it turns out, this house has been in their family for generations and the love that went into its restoration is quite evident. The pictures do not do this house justice. It is newly remodeled and very large, easily accommodating our family of five. There is both a peat-burning stove in the enormous eat-in kitchen (which had more gadgets than I have in my own!) and a fireplace in the large family room. The three bedrooms are of good size and comfortable, the bathrooms modern and stylish. While not on the water's edge, there is a panoramic view of the sea from the kitchen, master bedroom, sun room and terraces. Other rooms look onto nearby cottages, but nothing that is objectionable in the least. The owners showed us around the place, including how to use the appliances which was very helpful, and when we departed met with us once again and refunded the good-housekeeping bond on the spot without any quibbling whatsoever. We could walk down to the general store, which is a huge plus since the cottage is relatively isolated (which we liked). There is a Catholic Church in town which has services in Irish (the view of the steeple at night is really rather pretty), and a pub (we didn't make it there, but it's maybe a three-minute drive away). The drive to the Aran Island ferries is about fifteen minutes and there are good restaurants/pubs within about that distance as well. Galway, Connemara Park, and Cong are all within about an hour's drive. The only reason I gave it a 4 star on location has to do with getting through Galway in order to access anything west or south of there. We've stayed in lovely accommodations all around the world, and I would not hesitate to recommend this home. I don't know how our experience could be improved- well, maybe down comforters on the beds- not much of a "complaint"- just that the rest of the house was so far above expectations!"
