Note: The M4 motorway is located 2 miles away across 3 fields, but can be seen in the distance from the front of the cottage. Note: Due to being on a working farm, dogs must be on a lead when outside. Note: Due to ramped access and wide doors, this property may be suitable for those with limited mobility. Royal Wootton Bassett is a friendly market town, located in north Wiltshire, at the southern end of the Cotswold Hills. Close to the Gloucestershire border, the town benefits from a weekly market and there is also a good selection of local inns and shops. This is an ideal touring base.

"From the friendly phone call to check what we needed before we left, to the little extras like milk in the fridge and treats for the dog this is the perfect place for a stress free break. The cottage is clean and comfortable and a hop skip jump from the lovely lydiard park.. just heavenly.. the owners are easily available should you need them, but otherwise leave you in peace.. heavenly.. "This is a thoughtfully, well equipped, very comfortable and clean cottage with thoughtful extras. Would definitely stay again. Loved it! Helpful owners who are unintrusive but available if needed. We found it great base to tour surrounding area. A variety of supermarkets a few minutes drive away. We enjoyed a barge trip from Bath, tree top adventure just down the road at Lydiard Country Park, there's plenty of restaurants around, our favourite was Hongxin Oriental Buffet Swindon (c15 mins). Would recommend."
