Marina View is a delightful townhouse overlooking the marina in the popular coastal town of Amble and can sleep eight people. The cottage is set over three floors and has a second floor double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, a second floor twin bedroom, a twin bedroom, a ground floor twin bedroom, a bathroom, a ground floor basin and WC, a kitchen with dining area, a utility and a first floor sitting room with a Juliet balcony. Outside there is off road parking for two cars, lockable bike storage and a decked patio with furniture. Marina View is a lovely base for your self-catering holiday. Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian's Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.

The bustling little seaport of Amble is situated at the mouth of the River Coquet and is an ideal place for exploring Northumberland. Amble offers a marina, a harbour, sandy beaches and coastal walks. Large fishing boats moor along the harbour wall and land a variety of fish, prawns, crabs and lobsters - the daily catch can be bought at a fish shop in the harbour. A mile south of Amble is Coquet Island, an RSPB reserve with a large population of terns, puffins and eider ducks and boat trips around the island can be arranged. The pretty coastal villages of Alnmouth and Craster and numerous superb beaches are only a short drive away, whilst picturesque Warkworth with its castle, charming Alnwick with its castle and award winning gardens, and the National Trust's Wallington Hall and Cragside are all within easy reach.

"Located just off the main street in Amble this is an excellent location. Easy walking distance to the good restaurants in Amble and only a 20-30 minute walk into Warkworth. We arrived to find a little welcome pack of food which was unexpected but most welcome and the owner arrived to give us a quick overview of the facilities and answer any questions we had. Comfortable bedrooms, great views from the sitting room and my only minor criticism would be on the clothes storage facilities which perhaps could be improved but were adequate"

We come to Northumberland every year, as it's our favourite place to visit, and we wouldn't hesitate to book marina view again."
"The house had absolutely everything we wanted and we all enjoyed our stay. The house was very well furnished and decorated and had all the equipment you could possibly want. It was lovely to be able to walk to Walkworth and to go to the market at the harbour on Sunday and buy delicious fish and seafood!"
