Note: No children under 14 years of age. NOTE - Please be advised that this property only accepts bookings from a Saturday changeover.

Peacefully situated in the Derbyshire Dales, the small, rural hamlet of Handley is just two miles from Clay Cross - home to a traditional shop and three welcoming country pubs. Three miles further is the wonderful village of Ashover. Located in the Amber Valley and close to the popular town of Matlock, this great location offers a nine-hole golf course and several good pubs including the Crispin Inn - renowned as one of the oldest pubs in the Peak District. Famous for its warm springs, Matlock also offers a host of fine eateries, good shops and a fascinating museum. The town centre boasts Leys Hall Park, a lovely setting for recreational activities such as bowls, tennis and boating. Gulliver's Kingdom, Matlock Gorge and The High Peak Cycle Trail are all close by, making this a wonderfully diverse area.

"This accommodation was ideal and met all our requirements. It had everything to help make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The bedrooms were cosy and clean, the bathroom with its spacious shower was also lovely whilst the kitchen and dining area had more than adequate facilities. We spend all our evenings in the spacious living room, watching TV (as it was part of the Wimbledon fortnight!). We could not have made a better choice for our base to explore the Peak District."
"This is our fourth stay at Stubben Barn, and we are never disappointed. Mike and ann Kerry are so welcoming and nothing is too much bother for them. The cottage is superbly-equipped and very comfortable and warm. The view from the large lounge window over the reservoir is wonderful and the Matlock Hills from the side windows superb, when it is not raining!! Couldn't want anywhere nicer. Central location for visiting Derbshire."
