Belford is a lovely Northumbrian village midway between Berwick-upon-Tweed and the historic town of Alnwick. Belford is an old coaching village with an attractive square and a variety of restaurants and public houses. There are a couple of local stores and other shops sell local crafts and gifts to visitors. For keen golfers there is a nine-hole golf course, offering excellent facilities. Five miles away is Bamburgh with its dramatic castle and sandy beaches. Alnwick Castle, just 15 miles away, is famous for its gardens but more recently has found fame as being the location of "Hogwarts" in the Harry Potter films. There are numerous attractions to visit and many opportunities to pursue outdoor activities around this picturesque and unspoiled county. Belford is ideally placed for exploring this area.

"Together with my sister and brother-in-law I stayed at Budle View for this last week, traveling home today. This is an excellent place to stay. The property is very spacious with 2 double bedrs and I with bunk beds and cot. There is a large kichen/diner and a fully fitted bathroom. There is a very good farm shop close by and we can definitely recommend the scotch eggs!! Budle View was very clean and well equipped and games and puzzles are provided for wet days. There was a dishwasher and washing machine which we found very convenient. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely part of the country and could as quite easily exchanged homes as we really didn't want to leave."

"Budle view is a fantastic base for exploring the Northumberland coast. Belford is a lovely village with couple of pubs, little supermarket and a chippy! The cottage is perfect if you have dogs. The garden is completely enclosed. Our dog Star is like Houdini and will always find an escape route but not here! The kitchen is very well equipped, even a spare fridge/freezer in the garage which was great for the booze! Lots of wardrobe space in the bedrooms. The best thing about the cottage is the peace and quiet Priceless!"

"I went on a bit in the guest book so will keep it brief, suffice to say that Budle View was the perfect place for two Grand Parents, two parents, two children and an excited Jack Russel to escape to for a long weekend of beach walks, Farne Boat Trips, fish and chip eating and hunkering down to watch Strictly. The games room was a hit with the children and it seems that the owners had thought of everything to ensure a very relaxed and happy stay. Thank you so much!"

"The cottage was comfortable, warm and very clean. It was in an excellent location for visiting the coast, Holy Island and the many attractions inland. We even had a visit from a red squirrel. There was nothing to dislike and it was excellent for my dog too .We would thoroughly recommend it as a base for discovering this part of the country."

"Budle View is a beautiful bungalow, very comfortable and has everything you need. It is an excellent base for visiting Northumberland and during the very, very cold week that we stayed we knew we would be coming back to a warm, cosy house. The red aquirrels in the garden added to the fun. Not great amenities in the local village but you don't need to go far to get what you need."

"This was our 2nd visit to this beautiful bungalow, and it lived up to all our memories. The photograph of the outside is very deceiving, it is really spacious inside and well furnished. We went in October and the weather was lovely,We didn't need to wear our coats the whole time we were there. The shops down in the village have all you really need, but there are bigger supermarkets a short ride away. The location to the superb beaches is great, there is no need to travel very far. By far the best feature of this house is the enclosed back garden, it is totally dog proof, we were able to leave the french doors open for our two dogs to come and go as they pleased without constantly having to make sure they were still in the garden, that was a major plus. This is the nicest house we have stayed in and will be visiting again soon."

"We had a lovely week's holiday. The cottage was ideal for young children, with an enclosed rear garden. Comfortable and fully equipped, just like home-from-home. Local supermarket, hostelries and excellent fish and chip shop within easy walking distance. An excellent holiday with no real downside - even the weather was good!"

"Lovely comfortable holiday home with plenty of space for a family of six. A large dining kitchen with games room off, was great for the kids. Belford is a nice village with a few shops, pubs and eating out establishments. With Berwick just up the road and the coast within a few miles, makes this an ideal spot at any time. There's nothing that we don't like about this home and Northumberland in general. For those of you who have never been to Northumberland give it a go, you'll love it!"
