This first floor apartment is located in the grounds of the owner's home in East Knapton near to Malton in North Yorkshire and can sleep four people in two bedrooms. All first floor. Two bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x twin. Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Kitchen. Dining room. Sitting room. Shared use of indoor heated swimming pool with Jacuzzi.
Hartswood East is a first floor self-contained apartment in the grounds of the owner's home in the small village of East Knapton, just six miles from Malton in North Yorkshire. The apartment sleeps four people and has one double bedroom, a twin room, a family bathroom, a fitted kitchen and a sitting room. Outside is a private patio, communal lawns and shared use of a large heated indoor swimming pool with a Jacuzzi. Perfect for a family holiday or a romantic retreat, Hartswood East is a lovely holiday apartment in a beautiful part of the country. The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Facilities & Amenities
Eco central heating. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, TV with Freeview, DVD, CD/radio, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent, please bring own pool towels. Travel cot and highchair on request. Ample off road parking. Private enclosed courtyard with furniture and communal lawns. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 2 miles, pub 1 mile. Note: Swimming pool available from 10.30am - 8pm, except on Saturdays when it opens 4pm - 8pm. It is shared with three other properties. Note: 4pm arrival time.

The town of Malton has many interesting buildings including the old Corn Exchange and Assembly Rooms. A weekly market is still held in the town, as well as livestock and farmers' markets. The Yorkshire Moors are to the north, and the Yorkshire Wolds are to the south, making it excellent country for walkers and cyclists.

"We stayed here for a week at the start of July. We'd seen it advertised on Sykes Cottages but booked directly with the owner. We were initially worried as we didn't receive confirmation of our booking or a heads up that we needed to pay in full 6 weeks before etc. On arrival, we weren't too sure where to head, but 2 guys on the small caravan site advised us. We were met at the door and shown to our accommodation. Wow. It was fabulous. The accommodation has obviously just had renovations carried out and the stairs up from the door and pool lead to an open plan dining room and lounge with a lovely picture window looking east. A small set of stairs lead to the kitchen and bathroom and then the 2 bedrooms. Everything is spotlessly clean! The pool downstairs is open 1000-2000 and appears much bigger than the photos - one day all residents from the 3 cottages were in the pool and it didn't seem cramped! We had a few walks around the farm area watching the pigs and goats and chickens. We had days out to Bridlington (1/2 hour away) and Flamborough Head and Scarborough. There's a BBQ area outside the apartment, but we didn't use it as it would mean using a disposable BBQ. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, so evening meals weren't a problem. We had a fantastic week at Hartswood Farm and hope to return in the future!"
"We really enjoyed our stay here (family of 4). It's ideally located with so much to do only a short drive away. The accommodation was clean and thoughtfully presented - and thanks for the yummy cakes! The large indoor swimming pool was a real gem.....the kids and I really loved it. We'll be back again for sure :)"

"We have just had a lovely holiday here. We used the swimming pool and jacuzzi every night of our stay and it was warm and clean. The apartment is well equipped and very cosy with all modern amenities. We took our bikes and it was excellent for cycling. The kids enjoyed Dalby Forest and Go-Ape, as well trips to Scarborough, York and the North Yorkshire Moors. There is also a lovely Lavender farm down the road with an outdoor maze and games where we spent our last afternoon. Overall a very relaxing stay where you do feel away from the hubbub of modern life. We enjoyed the cakes on our arrival. Thank you."
"The location of the cottage and the cottage itself are just fantastic. We received a very warm welcome from the owners and were told of all the local attractions. The swimming pool is fantastic and a very great feature when the weather outside was a little wet. Hope to visit again as it is a very central position to York Malton etc. Also another added benefit to us was the fact that two dogs were allowed and not the usual one as at most other locations. HIGHLY RECOMENDED"
"We had a lovely relaxing weekend at Hartswood East and I would highly recommend a stay here. The holiday let had a lovely home from home feel and was well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The swimming pool and Jacuzzi was fab and we all had great fun in there - the kids enjoyed it that much we couldn't get them out and they spent hours in there! The pool was warm and clean with good changing facilities and there was a nice seating area to relax in too. The property was spotless throughout and well looked after. Ideally you need a car here because of the location but, that said the property is well placed. Within a short drive you can be in the countryside, the city of York, the market towns of Pickering and Malton or on the coast in Scarborough. Whitby is also within reach, as is Dalby Forest where you can visit Go Ape (a treetop adventure course), ride a Segway or hire a bike and follow the forest trails. There is something for everyone within reach. The hosts were lovely, attentive and on hand if you needed them but not at all intrusive. Rosie's homemade welcome cakes were delicious! We had a lovely weekend here and really look forward to returning soon. I highly recommend a stay here."
