"This is a gem of a cottage in a lovely Scottish village with all the local amenities you could wish for. There are beautiful walks from the door step and the village is a good base if you are wanting to explore further afield. The cottage itself is well equipt, cosy and warm. The log burner in the dining end of the kitchen provides a welcoming feel and the lounge is spacious and airy if you are holidaying as a larger family group. Large comfy beds and wonderful views from all the windows. Our only complaint would be the lack of attention to detail by the cleaner...on arrival we found frozen peas left in the freezer by a previous holiday maker and the filter coffee machine was full of used coffee grinds and a soggy filter paper. There were no firelighters or newspapers to light the log burner and the gas igniter clicker was empty so we couldn't light the fire until the next day when we went to the shop to buy matches and firelighters. There is a first aid kit in the kitchen which contains only a few wet wipes and a survival blanket. My advice would be to take your own first aid kit just in case. Also a couple of light bulbs need replacing and we couldn't find any spares. All in all a lovely cottage just needs a bit of extra care taking to make it perfect in every way."

"We spent the first week of a 3 weeks roundtrip here. It had everything needed and far more. We loved the large living room, nice kitchen and the Master bedroom. As we had the luck of very hot weather we were not able to try the logfire. But instead we were wild swimming in River avon. Wonderful and quiet! From the hiking car park nice longer and shorter walks possible. Thanks a lot for the nice time spent here! "

"We stayed in this bonny wee cottage for a week and had a lovely time. We found the cottage clean and everything supplied in the kitchen that you need. The downstairs bathroom looks a bit tired but the cottage itself more than made up for it with its lovely charm and comfortable seats. The village is very dog friendly and we found at least 3 eating places in the Square that welcomed dogs. We were reluctant to leave and would defintely recommend this holiday rental."

"The cottage itself is lovely and was perfect for what we wanted; a week to escape our busy lives. We loved the log fire and the comfy sofas in the lounge room. Also the bed in the master room was huge and very comfortable! However a couple of things have caused me to give a lower score: 1. The kitchen, despite being well equipped with everything you need to make a meal (or bake a cake if you wanted to) it wasn't very clean, there was grease over the cupboards and everything around the hob; I had to give everything a good clean before I wanted to cook there. 2. They only left 1 and a bit toilet rolls for us... We were staying for a week and paying peak holiday season price, so I don't think it would have been too expensive for them to leave a few more to get us through; I would have expected this to be included. 3. The fire, it was mentioned up front that we'd have to buy extra logs if we needed more than the first basket provided but again I thought this was a bit steep considering what we'd paid to stay there already, also they left no kindling for us to start a fire so we had to go collect some (thanks for leaving a bucket!) 4. Wifi - only worked for us in the kitchen and front room (which actually gave us a nice break from our phones!!) so this is a positive too!! 5. Cobwebs! Most of the cottage, aside from the kitchen was clean but could do with a good de-cobwebbing! 6. The view was amazing from the back of the cottage but the windows were so dirty you could barely see out. Anyway all that aside it was a lovely stay and we made the most of the place for the week we were there!"

"A long weekend away here in October was just lovely and fantastic value for money. Great cottage with everything you need and a stones throw away from places to eat and fab walks. Beautifully clean and had a nice cosy fire. Would definitely recommend :)"
