Flag Cottage is a delightful cottage set in the grounds of the owner's home, a former coaching inn, in the heart of the Derbyshire Dales in the Peak District National Park, near Cromford, and can sleep two people. This all ground floor cottage has a double bedroom with an en-suite shower and basin, a separate WC, a kitchen with a dining area and a sitting room with an electric woodburner-effect fire. Outside there is off road parking for two cars (situated across the road from the cottage) and a side, enclosed lawned garden with furniture. Flag Cottage is a lovely base for a romantic holiday. The ultimate in "year-round" appeal, the Peak District offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales.

Electric heating with electric fire. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, TV with FreeSat, WiFi, selection of books. Fuel and power inc. in the rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in the rent. Off road parking for 2 cars across road from cottage. Side, enclosed lawned garden with furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shops and pubs 4 miles. Note: This cottage is situated on the A6 and the parking is across the road. Please note this property does not accept infants.

The charming Peak village of Cromford is set in a wooded gorge by the River Derwent and is surrounded by tree-covered hills and cliffs. Cromford is known as the 'cradle of the Industrial Revolution' and attractions in and around the village reflect this. One of these is Cromford Mill, which has been fully restored and is now designated as a World Heritage Site. The village has three public houses and a variety of shops, however for more amenities the towns of Matlock and Matlock Bath are close by. Other attractions in the area include Gulliver's Kingdom family theme park, Chatsworth House and many more. This area has much to offer and makes a great base for a holiday.

"Overall we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay with everything on hand that we could need. The only downside was the wardrobe space. As we were only there for three nights it wasn't too big a problem but had we been staying longer it could have proved problematic! The cottage is characterful and conveniently located a stones throw from the a6, a direct route from Derby through to Bakewell and beyond. We know the area well and enjoyed renewing our acquaintance with a variety of places including Carsington Water, Ashbourne and the Museum of Childhood at Sudbury Hall, a 25 minute drive away."
