"We stayed at Castle St Cottage for half term in May, the cottage is in a perfect location getting out and about in Caernarfon and it suited us well. The marketing photos used are clearly very old and the cottage is very tired and in need of a redecoration throughout. The games room is almost unusable due to the smell of damp and moould, our children wouldn't go down into the cellar. The most dissappointing area of the cottage was the court yard, the whole are was filthy dirty, including a dead headless bird and all furniture was covered in pigeon poo - we had to clean it all up ourselves in order to use the outside area. On first inspection the hot tub looked great, we were assured that the tub was emptied and cleaned every single week! Clearly this was not the case because since returning from Wales 3 or the 4 of us that used the hot tub have all developed a nasty skin infection, confirmed by our GP to be folliculitis - an infection common found in dirty hot tubs. Although we really enjoyed our week in Caernarfon, sadly we couldn't possible reccommend this cottage as a great place to stay."

"My daughter booked this house for six of us, when we visited North Wales for a relative's wedding. The downstairs lavatory was so full of cleaning materials, etc, it was a fight to get in there. The cellar games room reeked of damp. The ensuite had a saniflow lavatory, which reverberated noisily throughout the two top floors every time it was flushed and had a breakdown of some sort, when stinking water seeped up through the shower floor when the lavatory was flushed. The plumber came to repair it but two days later, water ran down through the floor into the cupboard in the bedroom below, where it wet my clothes. Judging by the peeling wallpaper and stains on the ceiling of the cupboard, this had happened before. Our "king-sized" bed was two mattresses zipped together and because the bed did not have a mattress protector under the sheet (surely a hygeine requirement), I grazed my elbow badly on the protruding zip when turning over in bed. Paula, the housekeeper was great and very apologetic but this was not her fault. The rest of the house, apart from small details like no hooks on the door or shelf in the bathroom, was ok but four stars it certainly wasn't!"

"People staying here have no respect for residents whatsoever. Have called the police on numerous occasions as a resident and dread the holiday season. The noise in the back yard with partying till early hours. Obviously this terrace house attracts groups of young party's. "

"Set in the castle walls is this tardis like cottage, It looks tiny from the outside but is huge inside. A lounge with two 3/4 seater settees with a large TV and an open fire, a dining room that seats around 10. Plenty of bedrooms, a great sized kitchen, a basement which is ideal for younger guests and a rear yard which is very secure for simply letting the dog or children out to play. Plenty of outside seating and a hot tub which seats 7. There is one parking space right outside the cottage but free road side parking near the railway station if you're lucky."

"We have just enjoyed a lovely family holiday spending a week at Castle Street Cottage. The cottage is clean and well equipped in a very good location; very easy to walk to the pubs and restaurants and very accessible for Snowdonia, Anglesey and the Llyn Peninsula. The hot tub was enjoyed by every one and we were blessed with brilliant weather. However, the parking was an issue. We were only permitted to park one car outside the house, as we were advised not to park outside the adjacent property which was up for sale. We were also advised that we might be ticketed by the traffic wardens but if we were the owner would appeal it, as she had an informal agreement for us to park outside the house. This did worry us a little. We only found one small free car park, by the marina, but finding a space there was difficult, as was finding a space on the nearby streets. The other car parks now charge so if you have more than one or two cars, be prepared."

"Just got back from this cottage and can say we had a great time. The cottage is equipped with everything you could possibly need and more. There is a little welcome pack on arrival which was much appreciated. The hot tub, well what can I say, my husband was in there sometimes three times a day! The cottage is on the doorsteps of the castle, within the town walls. There are shops and bars all within minutes walk of the cottage. Great holiday, thank you."

"I stayed here in September with a group of friends and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Its a great location on the doorstep of the Castle, also very convenient for visits to other popular tourist spots in North Wales. The property had everything we needed and a lovely lady caretaker (sorry cant remember her name)gave us useful information about the property, the area and where to eat. The Hot Tub was a great way to relax in the evenings with a glass of wine, stargazing after a day spent touring. The only thing that was not 100% was the basement games room that had a damp musty smell. That said the owners are aware of it and it might now be fixed. However it would in no way stop me visiting this cottage again. The photos do not do it justice it is much bigger than it looks in this photo and very tastefully decorated."

"Excellent accomodation. Right next to the castle with easy access to shops, supermarkets and lots of places to eat. Plenty to do, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The Hot Tub is an added bonus and lovely at night with the lights on."
