The Isle of Wight, with its beaches, unspoiled scenery, rich heritage and over 500 miles of award-winning public footpaths is a walker's paradise, or if sailing is your thing, the renowned annual Cowes Week is not to be missed.

Oil central heating with electric fire. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, counter-top freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, DVD, selection of books and games. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 2 cars. Lawned front garden with patio, furniture, BBQ and children's swing in a secure fenced area. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shops, pubs and restaurants 1 mile. Note: Three steps to master bedroom, one step into kitchen.

Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the west of the Isle of Wight, the village of Totland offers visitors local shops, pubs and spectacular, unspoiled coastal scenery. The award-winning beaches of both Totland and Colwell Bay provide a wide range of activities, whilst Freshwater boasts a golf course and public swimming, both of which are situated along the Tennyson Trail. It is possible to take a chair lift from Alum Bay and enjoy some of the wonderful views across the sand cliffs, the famous 'Needles' chalk stacks and lighthouse beyond. The ancient castle, busy harbour and narrow streets at Yarmouth are also well worth exploring.

"A comfortable, clean and quaint cottage in lovely rural location. Bedrooms comfortable, kitchen well appointed and cottage very warm. We had a few problems with the infrastructure, but these were dealt with quickly by the owner. Local supermarkets delivered efficiently, and it was walking distance from a very narrow beach. Because of the location, most places were visited by car, but a local grocer and chip shop were within easy walking distance. Maps of the local area showing footpaths, etc would have been helpful. It was difficult to know where we could/couldn't walk the dog. Some wonderful day trips out from this location. It's a shame that the garden wasn't yet fully fenced for the dog, but the owners were dealing with this."
