Also in the cottage is an open plan living area with a kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area. Outside is off road parking and a garden with outdoor furniture. With three other cottages on site and a spectacular location next to the River Wye, Trout Cottage is a lovely holiday cottage. Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.

The village of Llanwrthwl sits on the River Wye between Builth Wells and Rhayader. Llanwrthwl is home to a small shop and church which is home to a prehistoric standing stone. Rhayader is three miles away and has shops, restaurants, pubs and a leisure complex.

"There was a small water heater under the sink which should have given us 7 litres of hot water but in reality didn't cover the bottom of the washing up bowl. We reported this to the owner who did send out the plumber. When we next saw the owner he told us " It Is what it is I'm afraid". For the whole week we had to boil the kettle in order to wash our pots. I personally don't think this is the way to treat guests. On the plus side the wildlife we saw was amazing!! The river is only metres away where you can watch the antics of the dippers or if you're very lucky as we were see the otters"
