"Chose the village of Embsay as friends and family live near by and my husband grew up here. The cottage had everything we needed and clear instructions are left which are very helpful. There are lovely views from the back of the cottage and we were lucky enough to sit out on the veranda with a cup of coffee/tea a couple of times. Parking was sometimes a problem but we usually found someone quite close. We spoke with one of the neighbours who was obviously a local and she was very friendly. We didn't have any issues but would imagine some people would struggle with the stairs."

"Lovely location, view from living room is great. Handy for pubs in Embsay and steam railway to Bolton abbey. Not too far a drive for shops in Skipton. Well-equipped kitchen. Only real negative was lots of stairs as it's narrow and on three floors - which carrying a baby up was a bit wearing after a couple of days."

"We had a very chilled time. The house was lovely and warm and had all facilities that we needed.it was near to Skiptontouristinformation and that was a little gem of a town. The local pub a few hundred yards away sold reasonably priced food and was welcoming"

"A lovely traditional cottage in a good village location. Clean, tidy with everything we needed, the children loved the three storey layout. The selection of books and information was a nice touch."

"A well equipped cottage offering value for money but not really suitable for a luxurious experience. The cottage was warm but basic and could have been cleaner but if people must take dogs on holiday then probably OK."
