Overview
This delightful cottage sleeps two people and is set on a working farm, near the hamlet of Selside on the edge of the Lake District National Park. One ground floor king-size double bedroom with TV and door to patio. Ground floor bathroom with Jacuzzi bath, separate shower, basin and WC. First floor open plan living area with fitted kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburning stove.
Dinny's Retreat is a wonderful cottage set one mile from the hamlet of Selside, five miles from Kendal, on the edge of the Lake District National Park. This cottage sleeps two people in one king-size double bedroom. The cottage also has a bathroom and an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburning stove. Outside there is a rear decked area with furniture and a side garden. Dinny's Retreat is a lovely romantic base in an area that has many attractions to suit all tastes. Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

Fuel, power and starter pack for woodburning stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Ample off road parking. Lockable bike storage. Lawned garden to side. Rear, private decked area with furniture and BBQ. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 4 miles. Note: This property is set on the edge of a small complex of privately-owned lakeside holiday lodges. Note: Property not suitable for children - max. 2 adults.

The town of Kendal is situated on the banks of the River Kent and is known as the Southern Gateway to the Lakes. The town offers old cobbled lanes, an attractive main street, stone ruins of 12th Century Kendal Castle and The Abbot Hall Art Gallery. Both Sizergh Castle and Levens Hall with its superb Topiary Garden are nearby, plus the Lake District National Park is within driving distance.

Dinny's retreat is absolutely superb and situated on the edge of a working farm in a peaceful and tranquil location. The owners supplied milk, tea & coffee sachets for our arrival which was helpful. I have recommending this property to friends and would definitely return here if we decide to visit the area again."
"This was our first visit to the Lake District & also the first time we had booked a cottage, and we're so glad we did. Dinny's is in a very peaceful location with lots of wildlife and even though it's on the edge of a working farm, there's no disturbance from machinery or anything. It's been renovated to a very high standard and is clean, comfortable and very well equipped. The owners even provide complimentary toiletries and milk, coffee etc., for your arrival. If we ever decide to holiday in the area again we would definitely return to Dinny's."
