Nook Cottage is a semi-detached cottage situated on the owners' livestock farm, in the village of Rosthwaite in the Lake District National Park. This cottage sleeps six people in three bedrooms, consisting of one double, one twin and one single with pull-out stacker bed, as well as a bathroom. The cottage also has a kitchen and a sitting room with dining area and open fire. Outside there is ample off road parking, an enclosed, front lawned garden and a rear courtyard. Nook Cottage is an ideal base for families with many attractions, walking and cycling routes nearby. Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Ample off road parking. Secure bike storage. Enclosed, front lawned garden. Rear courtyard. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Tea room/shop and pub 2 mins walk. Derwentwater 2 miles.

The village of Rosthwaite is situated in the Borrowdale area of the Lake District National Park. The village, surrounded by fells and meadows offers a pub, hotel and tea room. Close by is the town of Keswick, which has a number of shops and restaurants, along with miniature golf, parks, the Pencil Museum and the famous Theatre by the Lake.

"Gorgeous cottage, good size bedrooms, very welcoming. Perfect location for walking, good that it accepts dogs as we took two. Lovely little garden out the front with a large supply of coal and a starter log pack. Lovely hamper upon arrival full of treats and fresh milk in the fridge. "A comfortable, well equipped cottage, with plenty of space, but the most important thing is the location. If you are a walker it simply doesn't get any better. Great circular walks from the door, and the reasonably frequent bus services mean linear expeditions over to Langdale, Thirlmere, Lorton, or Whinlatter are all possible. The cottage has an enclosed garden, which is unusual in the lakes, but really useful if you have dogs."
