"Booked this wonderful barn conversation for a family holiday down memory lane. I can't speak highly enough about this property. Very clean and has everything you could need for an enjoyable holiday. Perfect location for access to Llangollen, the horseshoe pass and Snowdonia which is less than an hour away and also beauty views from the property. Was welcomed by the owners on our arrival and made to feel very welcome during our stay. Will definitely be returning soon."

"I cannot speak highly enough of this property. It is a superb, spacious cottage with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing holiday. It is in a beautiful location, very close to Offa's Dyke path and within easy reach of Snowdonia, Chester and Shropshire. The owners are really lovely people and are rightly proud of their two cottages. If you are looking for peace and quiet, with all the comforts of home and Glorious scenery on your doorstep, then look no further than Y Stabal."

"This cottage is excellent, very clean and well equipped. All the facilities were of high quality and had everything you could need. The owner is very friendly with lots of helpful advice on things to do, places to see, walks in the area etc. The location is excellent, very quiet and beautiful scenery but still accessible to Chester, Shrewsbury, Wrexham and the west coast of Wales. We would definitely return in the future and would highly recommend."

"I booked this cottage for my Wife's 65th Birthday with our 2 Daughters and Partners. Looking at the reviews it had already had, I thought that it looked like it was right for us. When we arrived we emptied the cars and went into the property, having arranged key collection with the owner in advance. When we opened the front door, we were all absolutely taken back by the fantastic decor. The rooms were all beautifully designed and decorated, the Bathroon and en-suit were all very moden and spotless as was the whole cottage. The kitchen was good enough to be on the television on "Mastercook" with all the untensils etc etc. As a welcome pack there was a bottle of wine, tea, coffee, sugar, milk, butter and to be honest, all that you might need to live there for at least 5 days without buying anything else. This has got to be one if not the best cottages for rent in North Wales for up to 6 people. I would recomend this cottage to anyone, looking for a 5 star accomodation. Last but not least the owners, who live opposite to the cottage, could not do anymore to be of help, should you need anything. This place made my wife's Birthday a great one."

"A very nice property. The equipment, especially in the kitchen was the best we have experienced in the UK. Knives were sharp (not often the case in rentals), and the pans and pots were 100% ideal for rather picky people like us and our friends. I don't think there was a single item of equipment missing or of a poor quality which is a credit to the owners (they love in the house opposite). The woodburner in the lounge gave a rather comfortable and homely feel, particularly as we listened to the October rain slapping against the windows. We were warm and very content in every room. In the summer, with a nice glass of wine, I think that it would be difficult to venture far from the cottage. We did have a difficulty with the WiFi, but the owner sorted this out (a problem with the WiFi service provider - we've all been there haven't we ???) and seemed upset that our brief break had been disrupted. I think we would have liked an additional shower in the property somewhere, but as we all know each other well, sharing the en-suite shower (at different times !!!) was not really an issue. The welcome pack with teas, coffee and wine was nice to have. There are very good walks close by and an extremely friendly community pub (the Raven Inn) in the nearby village. The community also runs a little shop there. We ate at the three Pigeons (I have disgraced myself by spelling this incorrectly in the visitors' book). Again, this was a friendly place with excellent portions and choice of food. Impressive beers. I don't know why we should have been surprised, but the clients of the pub said hello to us when we arrived, which was smashing and made us feel welcome for the whole of the evening."

"This really is the most gorgeous place to stay. The building is beautifully stylish and furnished very tastefully. Everything has been thought of and we even had a game to try and find something they'd forgotten - we failed! We had a lovely welcome with some great basics supplied including a couple of bottles of wine. It is very peaceful here apart from the occasional sheep and the foxes, my daughter watched them out of the window as they played in the garden. Ruthin is 20 mins drive through a forest and has a great tapas bar, big supermarket and a brilliant craft centre."
