Downstairs is a kitchen with dining area, and a sitting room with woodburner. Outside is off road parking for one car, a patio, and a separate lawned area a hundred yards from the cottage. Barn Cottage offers walks from the door, and makes a great base for enjoying this beautiful part of the country. From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Lockable bike storage in garage. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 2 miles. Note: Lawned garden is detached from house and is accessed via the adjacent property.

The attractive village of Ingleton is nestled beneath Ingleborough, one of the famous 'Three Peaks' on the western edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Offering a wide range of shops, pubs and places to eat, the winding streets of this pretty village all converge on a central market place. A mile outside of Ingleton and down the Hawes road are the well known White Scar Caves. Open to the public, these caves display a huge number of caverns full of stalactites and stalagmites, with one cave home to a huge underground lake. The superb 'Falls Walk' offers an interesting circuit which takes in some of the impressive cascading waterfalls of the area whilst the proximity to both the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake distract make this an excellent place for walkers.

"Easily accessed off the A65 and only a few miles from Kirkby Lonsdale and Ingleton. Wonderful walking right from the door up on to the fells. Cottage was warm and well equipped (if you self cater like we do - and had the best potato masher I've come across in any cottage - a pet hate of mine is poor mashers). It is very dog friendly. There is a washing machine and tumble drier in the garage, which you can also use for bike storage. You get a warm welcome on arrival...and some jam (nice touch)"
"We stayed at this cottage for New Year and had a fantastic stay. The cottage was well equipped so we could cook our own meals to eat in and the location was beautiful. The log burner was a welcomed extra especially after our walks to warm us through and the owner was very helpful in accommodating our booking at short notice Excellent stay and highly recommended"
