This upside down barn conversion on a working farm in Newbiggin-on-Lune sleeps four people in two bedrooms. Two ground floor bedrooms: 1 x king-size double (zip/link, can be twin on request), 1 x adult bunks. Ground floor bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. First floor open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with door to raised terrace.
Old Byre Cottage is a semi-detached cottage on a working farm in Newbiggin-on-Lune. The cottage has two ground floor bedrooms; a king-size double which can be a twin on request, and a room with bunks. The bathroom is also on the ground floor, while upstairs is an open plan living area leading to a raised patio. As well as the patio guests have use of the shared grounds including a play area, and there is off road parking. Old Byre Cottage is an ideal base for walking, sightseeing, playing 'farmer' or simply relaxing. Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

Newbiggin-on-Lune is a small village below the Howgill Fells, set between the Lake District National Park and the Yorkshire Dales, making it an ideal base for exploring both. There is trout fishing in the river Lune nearby, good walking up the fells and easy access to attractions such as the Settle to Carlisle Railway.

We and the children loved the tour of the farm including bottle feeding the lamb. Thank you so much for such an enjoyable stay in a beautiful area."
"I stayed at Old Byre Cottage with my husband, two small children, and our dog. The accommodations are clean and nicely decorated. The location is beautiful with the hills surrounding and the farm animals all around. My boys loved watching the farm every day, the upside down cottage, the bunk beds, and seeing new things. It is a bit of a drive to the lakes, probably 45 min each way depending on what side you are going on, but not too strenuous. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for some relaxing peace and quiet."
