"The cottage itself is comfortable. It is in the middle of no where. Hoping goid walks but lacking in footpath signs and very boggy. I think what upset us is the lack of welcome. Signs saying vacate by 10.30 and strip beds. Leave as you find. Big sign on black board 'rubbish Tuesday' no welcome, have a nice holiday. Thought we might see the owners so we could ask for dry logs as logs left were very wet and wouldnt burn. When we did see the owner it was to tell us off for parking in the deserted caravan park next door. It says parking space for 2 cars. There isnt. Its a single track road with very fast cars and tractors belting up and down day and night. Maybe if the owners removed the wooden platform with dead plants on this would make more space? As it is, any cars parked in space 2 will have a scratched dented car. Not so much as a 'are you having a nice time?' Shocked by miserable attitude. Wouldnt stay here again as really put a dampner on holiday. Stay nearer coast as lovely countryside and walks. "

"A lovely, surprisingly spacious, small cottage with period features and a nice, cosy feel about it. It had everything we needed. Despite being 'in the middle of nowhere' (which we wanted) there was a lovely old pub within easy walking distance up the road and it was within easy distance to the south coast."

"Lovely, had everything you could possibly want bar internet connection. However that aside it meant we spent more time enjoying ourselves rather than wondering what the rest of the world was doing. Lovely scenery lovely places and lovely peace and quiet."

"This cottage was home away from home, everything we could possibly need was there. It was comfortable and clean. The roads to and from the cottage were narrow country lanes and you need to take care while driving but just a few miles up the road you have all you can need shop wise. Would really recommend for a family holiday especially if you want to take your dog, although there are not many places you can walk them close to the cottage."

"Crabbs Bluntshay Cottage booking was so easy to do & the owners were very helpful with directions when contacted, the cottage itself was a fantastic base for our holiday & quite a few nights were spent in the Shave Cross Inn 10mins walk up the lane. Everywhere we visited was less than 1 hours drive from the cottage, we even made it to stonehenge for summer solstice for the experience. There was nothing not to like about this property."

"The cottage was well equiped, spacious and would fit 4 people easily. You need to drive carefully around the lanes leading to the cottage, the locals tend to drive faster than the visitors, tractors and even a herd of cows on one day were encountered! The area itself was good for relaxing, views of fields is ideal, Bridport is local and has everything you need, the beaches are ideally for walking the dog. Around the cottage the walks for dogs are minimal unless you have a very well behaved one, as the footpaths go through fields of cows. Overall very relaxing time."

"The cottage was well equipped, comfortable and in a lovely rural spot. The owners were also very helpful and provided us with a turkey from their farm. The location is excellent especially if you have a dog as there are a number of country walks close by as well as the Shave Cross Inn which is about a half mile away at the end of the lane. The pub was recently mentioned in the one of the Sunday papers as one of the best country pubs and worth a visit and it was! There were a few minor drawbacks, the log burner was often difficult to get going and if you have more than one car then others have to park on the narrow lane, however this did not impact too greatly on our stay. We would recommend this cottage to anyone, especially at christmas."
