This terraced cottage in Gatehouse of Fleet sleeps seven people in four bedrooms. Four bedrooms: 1 x ground floor double, 1 x double with basin, 1 x twin with TV, 1 x single. Sitting room (seats 6) with electric fire.
Ralston Cottage is a welcoming terraced cottage in the coastal town of Gatehouse of Fleet. The cottage has a double on the ground floor along with a shower room, and on the first floor are a further double, a twin and a single as well as a bathroom. These first floor rooms have slightly reduced head height. There is a kitchen, a dining room and a sitting room. Outside the cottage is roadside parking, and a rear garden with lawn, patio and furniture. Ralston Cottage is a great base for enjoying the amenities of Gatehouse of Fleet, and the rest of the lovely surrounding countryside. From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain's best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.

Situated on the Solway Firth, the small, country town of Gatehouse of Fleet is a peaceful place, decorated in pretty pastel colours. Set in the gorgeous Dumfries and Galloway countryside and within five minutes drive of beautiful sandy beaches, there is also a loch and the opportunity to try river fishing. Founded in around 1760, the town was originally a mill community and today a visitors' centre set in the former bobbin mill - Mill on the Fleet – tells the story of Gatehouse's cotton spinning days. The town now boasts several shops, including a baker, butcher, grocer, bank and post office whilst a number of the pubs also serve food and welcome children.

"Had the pleasure of staying at Ralston Cottage for a week this summer. I can honestly say this place is fantastic value for money ! 3 double rooms, 1 single room, 2 bathrooms, 1 lounge and a dining room plus a fully equipped kitchen ! All immaculately clean - amazing value - plus a lovely garden to sit and relax in ! - highly recommended ! Definitely will return - thank you for a lovely holiday"
"The cottage and garden are both ideal for families, the only thing which would improve it would be the addition of curtains in all the bedrooms, especially for the children's rooms. The tap on the kitchen sink was very loose, and gradually become looser through use. Shopping for provisions in Gatehouse is fine and the new Deli is excellent. There are several places for eating out., either for a snack or a meal. There are beaches nearby , and for more seriious shopping, both Kirkcudbright and Castle douglas are within easy reach.Laggan Out door Centre is also a great attraction and is wirth a visit, even if only to watch the more energetic people using all the facilities.We all enjoyed our stay very much and hope to repeat it."
