"Just had a nice 3 days at the lodge, Mike and Yvonne are welcoming, friendly and helpful and do lovely food at the Cennen Arms. Plenty to do around the surrounding towns/area (unfortunately we couldn't have brought worse weather with us so didn't get to sight see as much as hoped) Nice, relaxing break had by all :)"

"Just returned from a 3 night stay at this lovely lodge. It was clean, comfy, spacious and warm. 4 good sized bedrooms, 2 double 1 with ensuite and 2 twin rooms. There was also a pool table in the garage conversion which had unerfloor heating so lovely and warm. The kids loved the pool table. The lounge is spacious with 3 settees and a 6 seated dining table - Ideal for the 6 of us. A lovely outdoot area with stunning rural views of the countryside & carreg cennen castle. The lodge is well equipt with dishwasher & washing machine/dryer. The owners were hospitable & helpful & they own the Cennen Arms across the road which serves lovely food. Cennen castle is worth a visit and has a lovely tea room with stunning views. We highly recommend."

"Lovely house and garden, perfect for extended family get-together at Christmas. Lovely rural location with fab views of castle in distance. Ideal for us as have dogs and can keep them downstairs on ground floor (with wooden floors easy to clean). Lovely and warm during our stay with very effective underfloor heating on ground floor and radiators on first floor - cosy and warm especially on cold winter nights (which we had). Great for elderly parents who feel the cold more than us. They loved it too (and ground floor loo helped!). Big TV in lounge with another TV in the kitchen meant that we could have different viewing options for different family members - always helps at Christmas! Lovely spacious, well equipped kitchen, ideal for cooking Christmas dinner and large dining table could seat us all. (Dish washer very welcome afterwards of course!) Washer dryer was available although not really needed by us. Jacuzzi bath in family bathroom was an unexpected treat which daughter appreciated. (Note lack of phone signal unless walk to top of hill and no wifi so suggest give directions to all travelling there in advance and forewarn those addicted to FB.) Welcoming pub (which does food) across road was dog friendly which added to experience and husband and son could watch football on Sky (a big plus). All round - a great stay for all ages and abilities (which we were!!) - would thoroughly recommend."

"We have just returned from a week at Cennen Lodge. It was delightful to be greeted by fresh flowers & homemade Welsh cakes. However, the Lodge is tired and needs redecoration & some improvements in the kitchen - chipped & cracked plates, cups, glasses etc, new frying pans etc. The biggest problem which we had was that whilst the lawned area is enclosed the driveway isn't and this leads straight onto a road. A problem if you have dogs or small children. It does say that they shouldn't be left alone because of the stream, but this is fully enclosed. The cottage is in a very rural area with no 'phone or wifi signal (yes, you can get wifi in the pub but it is a pain). Having said all this, we found the landlords and locals alike very friendly But, the drawers in the bedrooms all contained detritus - used tissues/empty match box/chocolate wrappers ......UGH!!!!!"
