"This delightful cottage, (it was an old cottage not a modern building calling itself a cottage), was certainly a revelation. If all the properties we have stayed in were like this I would be overjoyed! Spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated this well equiped cottage has everything, even nice big fluffy towels! My husband and I will do all we can to stay here again."

"This cottage was beautiful inside & out. The kitchen was the heart of the cottage complete with an AGA which meant meals had to be thought about, but it provided warmth throughout the house. The beds were kingsize and very comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and the whole place was spotlessly clean. Ample books, games & DVDs available, only possible complaint is maybe a larger TV would be better but you don't go to such a lovely part of the country to watch TV! A short drive away from Alnwick and the coast, an ideal location."

"Everything and everyone is catered for - right down to an extensive range of CDs and DVDs to use. We loved the large, bright kitchen, especially the range and all the amenities to give a home from home feeling. The decor throughout was cosy and warm and overall, gave a real cottage feeling. Certainly a relaxing, peaceful location but ideally situated to visit the sights the area has to offer/"

"I thought the cottage was lovely, it instantly felt warm and welcoming. We travelled with a child and grandparent and everyone enjoyed the area and returning each evening to such a great cottage. The aga was fun to use, walks right from the door and an excellent inn almost opposite. The cottage was clean and had lots of entertainment in it, cd's books, games and dvd's. A lovely introduction to the North of England"

"Sunflower cottage is a true home from home. Comfortable, spacious and (once we'd worked out the Raeburn) cosy. Eglingham is wonderful and a great base from which to explore all Northumberland has to offer. Although only there for a week, the cottage really made an impression. The first thing we did on getting home was book another week in the Summer!"

"The cottage was up to our expectations in all but one item. The toilets took too long to flush after use, even though there were two. Both took up to 1/4 hour to be ready for the next person. We were warned that the Aga cooker was slow, so it was no suprise that our meals tended to be after their alotted time. Overall though we would return in the future."
