"Easy to find, even though in the depths of the Welsh countryside, about 10 miles from Aberystwyth. The cottage was well apportioned with all that you would need, plenty of useful crockery, cutlery and cooking aids. The dishwasher was a bonus. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of storage, having two bathrooms was also a useful extra. The Summerhouse was our favourite even when the weather was not at it's best, the views from here and the cottage itself were excellent. Seeing the "Kites" flying daily was quite an amazing sight. Would not hesitate to re-book for a quiet away from it all escape."

"I booked this cottage on line, and was hugely delighted! Situated about 20 minutes [10 miles] from Aberystwyth, the cottage [semi detached] is set in the beautiful rolling hills to the east of the town. Everything was as described: lovely open plan living area downstairs with a fabulous log-burner [and a constant easy supply of logs for a very reasonable price!]; the kitchen was well stocked with equipment, as well as a few basics to get you started! The dining area was comfy; the bedrooms were great - lovely soft beds and plenty of storage. The bathrooms were really well fitted out in beautiful [local?] slate. The garden was on several levels and also had a Summer House which provided spectacular views of the surroundings. We took our Cocker Spaniel with us who just loved everything - the garden, the fire, the walks and the sheep. Must mention the huge number of Red kites that were always present around the house and hills - everywhere you went - quite breath-taking. The cottage was really central and accessible for lots of local activities and trips, of which we were able to participate. It was very well priced - considering we went in half term. For a couple of teachers - it was peaceful, relaxing bliss!! Thoroughly recommended!"

"If you like being out in the countryside, this is the place for you. Has an old world feel to it but has modern facilities. Quiet location. Little lane opposite to walk dog. Lovely enclosed garden. Adequate parking. Great on-suite shower/bathroom and separate bathroom if you have a larger party."

"The need for peace and quiet is essential for me when booking anywhere so it is always a gamble when you choose somewhere unknown. The gamble paid off. I wouldn't normally book a semi detached property, as you just don't know who is next door but at this cottage I didn't know we had any neighbours unless I saw the car pulling in. A very peaceful property, located approximately 3/4 of a mile from the A4120 to Aberystwyth (12 miles away), set on top of one of the many hills locally down a quiet lane. The views from the property extend to the mouintains and hills beyond and were great to wake up to. The beds were extremely comfortable and the cottage homey with a nice wood burner in the open fireplace. One bedroom was en suite and the other had use of the main bathroom and shower. This property is ideal for a couple looking for a romantic break or a young family as they can enjoy the many attractions locally as well as the never ending walking and cycling trails available. We took my Mother and Step Father and it was cosy so if you think about sharing with friends make sure you know them well. We will definitely be booking this cottage again as, although basic, it is a cosy, peaceful little place and a great spot to explore from"
