Home to the famous Bronte sisters, the small village of Haworth and the surrounding moorland inspired the women to put pen to paper and to write what have now become classics of English literature. With its myriad of curiosity and antique shops, alleyways and cobbled streets, there is a wonderful period atmosphere in this charming town set against the backdrop of countryside that would eventually be made famous in ‘Wuthering Heights'. The Worth Valley Railway is also nearby and was used in the film 'The Railway Children'. Trips around the old village of Oxenhope on the wonderful steam trains make for a special day out whilst The Bronte Parsonage museum, East Riddlesden Hall, and the Museum of Rail all make equally good attractions whilst the market town of Skipton – often called the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales – is only a short drive away.

"This was the second time in this cottage as last year we were not well and had to go home early. It has been well thought out and you would be a sad person indeed if you criticised it. Very well equipped kitchen and the whole house is lovely and warm. Dog friendly with Karndean practical floors. You need to be fit though as you find yourself continually going up and down stairs with it being on three levels! You invariable find something is in the 'wrong' place! Plenty of space to park down Prospect Street/Minnie Street without upsetting the residents. Yards away from several eateries but SO quiet. Last year I commentated that it needed a hook behind the bedroom door for a dressing gown and low and behold this year there it was! Thank you."

"This was our second visit to this wonderful cottage. It has been lovingly restored by the owners who we had a chat with on our arrival. It is set out over three floors and has everything you need with a lovely kitchen/diner for those that do want to cook. A nice size bedroom with a king size bed and a wonderful power shower in the bathroom. Restaurants and pubs are all on your doorstep and takeaway's are just down the hill with a spar and an ATM there as well. It is a perfect location for walking and everywhere was so dog friendly. Will definitely be back as long as the dog can get fit again."

"This was our 1st visit to Howarth but definitely won't be our last . Had great relaxing week (well apart from walking nearly 50 miles over the week) at Chapel View. Just lovely, ticked all the boxes for us. Walks from the door, dog friendly and warm and comfortable, loved the big kitchen where we spent most of our evenings planning our next day over a bottle (or two ) of wine. Howarth locals were friendly and most if all welcomed us and Kodie our lively Springer Spaniel. Will definitely be back next year"

"We've been 4 times and have booked again the week leading up tp Xmas. We've stayed in 2 of the owners places and they have been very cosy and the plus is the dog comes too. Howarth is a place to re-charge your battery I always go home wanting to go back. Can't fault the place and everyone is friendly."

"One of the best cottages we have stayed in, from the stunning kitchen through to the lounge and up to the top floor, there was very little to fault this cottage. Situated over three floors, the stairs might be a bit steep for some people, but the overall this cottage is wonderful. At the time there was no WiFi, but a very short walk to Haworth Hall, good food and drink, free WiFi is available. Also a short walk away through the local Park is the steam railway, which is always worth a visit. Although there is no parking provided at the cottage there was always spaces on the adjoining streets. It is an excellent place to relax, and also ideal for exploring Haworth and the surrounding area. We will be returning as we enjoyed our stay here so much."

"Everything was excellent. The cottage is done out to a high specification and very tasteful. It is very well situated - near Haworth's historic high street and 'Bronte land' - and there is a park about a minute's walk away for the dog! The owner was really helpful - would love to visit again."

"A great cottage, very well refurbished. All we required of the property. Lovely woodstove but the property was so warm we didn't need it. The cottage was so conveniently located we parked our car and didn't need it for the week. Plenty of pubs and cafes(lots dog friendly), wonderful walks and very helpful people. I need a Gluten free diet and I found most eating places very helpful. The Bronte Museum and guided walk a must."
