"Such a wonderfully warm and cost cottage, especially at Christmas time. The owners had thoughtfully put up a decorated Christmas tree in the lounge. Lovely large kitchen which was very well equipped. We had snow which made everything very seasonal and made walking our spaniel extra fun. The Hall, which was opposite, was well worth a visit in order to see the 50 + Christmas trees on display. Tiny pub a few steps away and we enjoyed a game of pool one evening."

"The cottage was clean, cozy and comfortable with plenty of space. John and Karen the host and the village inn were very welcoming. The surrounding countryside was amazing. We will certainly go back."

"My wife, myself and two friends stayed at this lovely property during the week of the Royal Welsh Show and were overwhelmed by the friendliness not only of the owners, John and Karen Jones, but of the local people who frequented John and Karen's pub at night. The property is very well set-out and has everything you might need. The furnishings are comfortable and in very good condition. We had excellent weather during our stay and managed to sit out in the garden. This also gave us a chance to talk with the occassional passer-by, and walkers tackling Glyndwr's Way. The pub, which opens at 8:00p.m., Monday to Saturday, is a 30 seconds walk away from the house. The house is attached to a post office, operated by Karen, and opens two days a week. As you can see, this is a very rural retreat. It is, however, a short drive to local towns Rhayder, Builth Wells, etc, and lies in, and near, superb scenery, including the Elan Valley. There are also frequent sightings of Red Kites over the house. If you want somewhere to stay on this area you should consider Taylors Cottage as one of your options."
