Moss Cottage is a superb family holiday home in the popular town of Windermere. This cottage sleeps six people in three bedrooms, consisting of one king-size double, one second floor double and a second floor twin, as well as a bathroom with corner bath and a shower room. The cottage also has a kitchen with dining area and a sitting room with woodburner. Outside there is off road parking for three cars and a decked garden with furniture and barbecue. Moss Cottage provides a fabulous base for exploring Windermere, Ambleside and Coniston Water. Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

Two electric ovens, induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, DVD, iPod dock, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel, power and starter pack for stoves inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off-road parking for 2 cars. Decked garden with furniture and BBQ. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shops and pub 4 mins walk. Note: There are steep narrow stairs, therefore care to be taken. Note: No children under 5 years of age. Note: Check-in time 4pm

The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere both provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants, plus boat trips are available from Bowness to Ambleside, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Orrest Head, where Alfred Wainwright was inspired to write his series of iconic guidebooks, is on the edge of the town, plus Grizedale Forest Park is nearby and there are many National Trust properties in the area.
