Nearby Cockburnspath lies on the eastern extremity of the Southern Upland Way, a long-distance footpath, stretching from the west to east coast of Scotland. A short drive or train journey north will take you to Edinburgh, while Berwick-upon-Tweed and Lindisfarne are a short drive south.
