Ampleforth is a beautiful village on the fringes of the North York Moors National Park. Offering a traditional aura with its quaint buildings, a selection of two public houses, a local shop and even a fish and chip shop, it makes a rather tranquil base from which to explore North Yorkshire. Explore the vast countryside by either foot or bike, with ample routes for all abilities, or head to Pickering to discover the wonder of its steam trains, while Castle Howard and Scarborough are well-worth visiting too!
