Braithwaite lies in the northern Lake District and is a traditional village where Coledale Beck flows through, between the lakes of Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite. Recognised for its whitewashed Lakeland cottages, there's a variety of village shops and country pubs dotted around the small streets.
