The bustling market town of Okehampton lies on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park and 23 miles away from Exeter. Within the town, you will find a medieval castle and Okehampton train station, which has been restored to its 1950s style, with trains running to Meldon, the highest station in southern England. To the north of Okehampton are the Devonshire hills, where you will find small farming villages nestle amidst woods and fields with plenty of flowing rivers. From here, you will also be able to explore the Roadford Reservoir, home to a multitude of watersport activities and fishing opportunities.
