Hythe is a town resting alongside Southampton Water, and is home to a bustling marina, with The Royal Military Canal running through the centre of the town. Originally built for the English defenses in case of a Napoleonic invasion, it is now a haven for walkers and cyclists looking to explore the area. Within the town you can find a host of shops and pubs with frequent ferries running to and from Southampton just a stone's throw across the water for an even larger selection of attractions and eateries.
