Middleham is a market town resting on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and is famous for its race horses. The town is filled with history with its Norman castle, which dates from 1190 and has a castle keep second in size only to the Tower of London. Around the market square you will find a number of shops, pubs and places to eat to suit all ages and tastes.

"We stayed for the New Year which was the perfect location, when we arrived it was very cold in the cottage and took a while to heat up which wasnt ideal as it was december. The top bedroom never felt warm which was a shame for our teenage son. The cottage was cleaned to a very high standard, the hamper was not the best it lacked personal touch especially with it been a festive time but overall it was a pleasent stay. We went for a lovely lunch at the Richard III pub which was nice and the open fire was a bonus."
