Collooney is a small village in County Sligo located between Ownemore and Unshin rivers. The village is home to Makree Castle, the ancestral seat of the Cooper family, which now runs as a family-run hotel. Nearby is one of Ireland's largest towns, Sligo, overlooking Benbulben Mountain, Knocknarea Hill and the Emerald Isle, it hosts plenty of beaches, walks, pubs and restaurants.
