The town of Bentham rests between the Yorkshire Dales and the Forest of Bowland, with the River Wenning separating the civil parishes of Lower and Higher Bentham. Bentham is reocgnised for it's yearly agricultural show dating back to the 19th century, featuring handicraft, horticulture and livestock competitions. Between both parishes, there is plenty of pubs, cafes, restaurants, and even a train station. Walking trails are hugely popular here as the location is prime for countryside rambling. Ingleton is just next door, home to caves, waterfalls, and a climbing wall, whereas Morecambe is the perfect seaside spot to explore sandy beaches and enjoy a day by the sea. Kirkby-Lonsdale is nearby, where you can visit the historic St. Mary's Church, the River Lune, or Underley Hall. Bentham is a perfect location to discover the beauty of Yorkshire.
