The ground floor is home to a cloakroom, kitchen/diner and a sitting room with a woodburning stove. Oil fired central heating with woodburning stove. Electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, Smart TV with Freeview and WiFi. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off-road parking available. Gravelled garden with an outdoor seating area. Well-behaved pets welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 4.5 miles; pub 3.9 miles. Note: There is a step down to access the sitting room. Note: This cottage is set on a working farm, dogs must be kept on their leads at all times.

The small village of Newby Bridge takes its name from the five arched stone bridge built in 1651 over the River Leven. The famous Furness Railway, one of Britain's oldest working standard gauge steam railways, runs between Haverthwaite and Newby Bridge. Visit the Lakeside Hotels and enjoy magnificent views across Windermere and the surrounding fells, or enjoy the Aquarium of the Lakes, where the naturally themed habitats, bring the history of the Lakes vividly to life. Bowness-on-Windermere provides a lovely day out, plus the picturesque village of Hawkshead still retains the charm and character that so endeared it to its most famous residents - William Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter, and admire the views at nearby Gummer's How.
