The village of Hutton Rudby rests on the northwest fringes of the North York Moors National Park, and offers a selection of pubs, a Post Office, and a convenience store. Over the River Leven is Rudby Hall, a historic estate which can be hosted for event venues, conferences, or a private overnight stay. Nearby, cyclists and walkers can explore the idyllic North York Moors, or visit the town of Middlesbrough, which bursts an excellent range of shops, pubs eateries. The popular historic seaside town of Whitby is only 35 miles away, which offers a sandy beach, a range of attractions and the dramatic Whitby Abbey.
