Overview
This detached, stone built cottage near Hawsker, close to Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay, can sleep four people in two bedrooms. Note: There is an Honesty Shop close-by. Over two floors. Two bedrooms: 1 x ground floor king-size double (zip/link, can be 2'6" twin), 1 x first floor twin (zip/link, can be king-size double). Bathroom with freestanding bath, shower over, basin and WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburning stove.
The Cowshed, a delightful, detached stone cottage a short drive from Hawsker on the North Yorkshire coastline, can sleep four people in two bedrooms. The cottage offers two bedrooms, one of which is on the ground floor, and each with the option of being a king-size double or a twin room. There is also a ground floor bathroom with a freestanding stone bath, a kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area with a woodburning stove. Outside, the patio enjoys views of the surrounding countryside to the sea, furniture, a fire pit and a barbecue, a wonderful spot to spend warm summer evenings. There is also off road parking for one car, and a short drive down to the coastal towns of Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay make The Cowshed a fabulous base for exploring this beautiful area. The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

LPG central heating with woodburning stove. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, dishwasher. TV with Freeview, DVD, CD/radio, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel, power and starter pack for stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Ample off road parking. Rear patio with furniture, fire pit, BBQ. Two well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 1.5 miles, pub 1 mile. Beach 3 miles. Note: There is a cobbled path and 3 steps to the front door and inside, stairs to first floor are alternating tread stairs and steep, property may be unsuitable for those with limited mobility or those with young children. Note: Cottage is on the A171, associated noise may be experienced. Note:This property has won an award for Best Accommodation in North Yorkshire!

The village of Hawsker is half way between Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay on the North Yorkshire coast. This small village has a local pub which serves food and is close to the Cleveland Way. Just a couple of miles to the south is the quaint fishing village of Robin Hoods Bay with its steeply sloping main street and numerous craft shops, whilst to the north is the famous abbey town of Whitby with its glorious harbour, sandy beaches and fantastic fish and chip restaurants.
