Overview
This beautifully converted barn situated on the edges of the Dorset village of Toller Porcorum and can sleep six people in three bedrooms. All ground-floor - some single steps between rooms. Three bedrooms: 1 x king-size double with en-suite bath, shower over, basin and WC, 1 x double, 1 x twin. Shower room with walk-in shower, basin and WC, cloakroom. Kitchen/diner. Utility. Sitting room with woodburning stove.
The Byre is a single-storey barn conversion located on the fringes of Toller Porcorum within the Dorset AONB. It boasts three bedrooms; a king-size double with en-suite bathroom, a double and a twin, sleeping six people altogether. There is also a shower room, cloakroom, kitchen/diner, utility and sitting room with woodburning stove. Outside is off-road parking for four cars, a patio at the front and a garden at the back with a lawn, unfenced pond and seating area. The Byre offers a wonderful break in a lovely part of Dorset.

Underfloor heating with woodburning stove. Gas range cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, TV, Wi-Fi. Fuel, power and starter pack for fire/stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off-road parking for 4 cars. Front patio, enclosed rear garden with lawn, seating area and small unfenced pond. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 3.3 miles, pub 3.8 miles. Note: There is a small unfenced pond at this property, children are to be supervised at all times. Note: The water supply is from the on-site mineral spring - all duly checked and certificated.

Toller Porcorum is a village in West Dorset, situated in the Toller Valley, just over 10 miles north-west of Dorchester. Within the village there is a Post Office with a small shop, while the nearest pub is about 2.5 miles away at Maiden Newton, where other essential amenities can be found. Bridport is home to an interesting variety of shops, restaurants and inns. Two miles south of Bridport is the dramatic Jurassic coast at West Bay, now a World Heritage Site, home to the backdrop for TV's Harbour Lights and the coastal setting for popular Broadchurch, whilst the picturesque resort of Lyme Regis is within 10 miles. Visit the market town of Dorchester with its Roman roads, museums and a wide selection of pubs and restaurants. An ideal location to explore some of the best areas of West Dorset.

"I rented this cottage because it was all on one level. After I booked it I noticed that there had been a couple of later reviews about problems with the plumbing. I contacted Sykes on several occasions before our holiday to check that the issues had been resolved and that it was safe. I was assured all was fine. We arrived over the bank holiday and the showers were not safe and after a plumber had come out to sort ( he could not) one of the ring mains was off. I spent hours on the phone and we came home early. Still looking for a refund and some compensation for a spoiled holiday."
